masnindot mag himo nalang bike lane aron mag bike nalang ta..........
masnindot mag himo nalang bike lane aron mag bike nalang ta..........
maghimo bikelane.. mag widening na pod ta? orpadakan ang sidewalk? kinsa may naay power maka pahawa sa mga sidewalk vendors na nag puyo na sa sidewalk?
Bike lanes would be great. And additional cost would not be prohibitive.
IMHO, I see two problems with our traffic : (1) the constant stop and go, with absolutely no sense of responsibility to the rest of the public; (2) intermittent (at best) enforcement of traffic rules (i would support higher fines. make it prohibitively high).
The fly-over in the corner of Banilad Road and the old San Jose dela Montana did not address the in/out of vehicles to/from Waterfront Hotel, IT Park, the restaurants and coffee shops, the subdivisions, etc... slowing down and stopping right in the middle of the road as they prepare to cross the solid line! Even the CITOM personnel stops traffic to allow other motorists to violate this basic highway code.
And three, criminally incompetent drivers.
Sorry for the rant.
There were a lot of justified insinuations in this thread regarding kickbacks....
I wonder if DPWH or Cebu City or Cong Raul del Mar would allow a publication of the project's Program of Work and Estimates. This document would show pricing of each item in the project --- from the per bag price of cement, to salaries of each mason and painter, to rental of pile driver, to Willie T. Go's profit margin, etc...
They'd hem and haw (I can imagine Raul del Mar indignantly declaring that he goes to Church every Sunday and is therefore incapable of bilking the public) but they'd find a reason for not allowing us to see how they spend our money.
Does anyone still recall the P100,000 desktop purchased a few years ago?
should people think of consciousness and responsibility widening first before road widening?
^ yes bai. mao untay ideal.
pero with the many -isms that exist around us, it's hard to discern the truth. once someone finds the truth, it gets suppressed. saon nalang.
from one of our grand debates at school, (which was about, BRT)
it was indeed USELESS to have this BRT approved.
naay BRT, ma.usa nalang ang sakyan sa daghan kaayung pasahero (they think, masolbad na ang traffic congestion) but no, dli ang mga tawo ang nakadala ug traffic kundi ang mga sakyanan. naa nay BRT, mangawala ang mga pasaheroan nga jeep. inig kawala sa pasaheroan nga jeep, ipanganak na ang jeep for private use. pinoy pay imu. dli buot pasabut nga tangtangon na ang jeep, dli na pwede gamiton sa mga tawo ilang jeep for PRIVATE USE.two MAJOR MAJOR negative effects for BRT approval will be, (1) mawagtangan na ug panginabuhian ang mga puj drivers, walay kwarta, nya way kwarta, kung dli man gane magkasakit ilang mga anak tungod sa way kaon, aw, mahimu sad nang tulisan, another problemoo, (2) managhan ug samut ang mga sakyanan, naa pay BRT, naa pay Jeep for private use, naa pay taxi, naa pay mga sakyanan nga private, wa na..
therefor, ang BRT dli solution. and because ang daku jud nga problema karon sa mga tawo kay daghang sakyanan nga mao jud ang naka.cause sa traffic, ato ning tagaan ug agianan, in short, fly overs or mao ning gitawag nga 2nd level roads.. road widening kay i think, destructive na kaayu.. i mean, lisud naman gud magpuno ug laing lanes sa national/main roads sa city.. nya possible effect niya kay mudako ang possibility of road accidents like naay maligsan kay xempre, mga pinoy, tapulan mangita ug skywalk, mulabang diretso.. so taas2x sad ilang labangon.. how about, building up those two other lanes on top of the primarily built lanes (2nd lvl roads). since murag mao man ni ang obvious kaayu nga project ni mayor, then why not, i.maximize nalang.. xD
so i go for Fly-Overs ^^
IMO lang na hah.. hehe
^^
so are we saying na tungod kina-iya na natu na pinoy , wa tay disiplina / tapulan ta na tawo dli nalang ta mag road widening kai peligro sa aksidente? how about kung atu i ayu una atu disiplina nya mu kugi lang tag lakaw gamay sa taas2 na labangon using the sidewalks jud, rather than surrendering to the notion na we are a bunch of lazy citizens.
I believe na road widening is difficult and itself is not the lone solution to the problem (same sa flyover). Pero if we hamper infrastructure development in favor of our poor habits then i don't think we're going anywhere...

The solution to one of our problems is
imho, parasa mga Public Utillity Vehicles....
Implement the
One PUJ Franchise per Route Scheme with LTO regulated fares..
so as to eliminate this "jeepneys competing for passengers".. and also pave a way to implement a fixed PUJ Stops
and for the franchise owners and PUJ operators to implement fix wages for Jeepney drivers kay louy kau sila..
i estimate a good trafic reduction using this scheme.
