- Luffy in Alabasta arc was already a bullet timer and Croc was easily reacting to/dodging his attacks and stomping his ass to the ground, so he is very fast. and then in the later arcs he was fighting and keeping up against some of the mid/high tiers in One Piece who can dodge lasers.

he's faster than Gaara. -

Luffy is slow u know unlike Rock Lee u can barely see him when he is in open gate mode.. n sasuke s fast because of his sharingan.. Gaara's Sand s fast n he can splash seawater to Croc n once he is wet Gaara can easily squeeze him.. Ninja s greater than a pirate u know!! wahahaha!! how can a pirate possibly defeat a ninja?? wahahaha!!!!

- Crocodile has an AoE attack that can suck the moisture out of everything in the area. if Gaara starts on the ground, even if he has his absolute defense, it won't stop Crocodile's ground death/mass erosion attack. that or spam Sables.

if Gaara is on the air, Croc can just spam Sables. or even meld with Gaara's sand and attack him from within.

with enough Sables, Croc can destroy/bury an entire town or city and Gaara no longer has the chakra to be able to keep his defenses for long. -

Gaara is not that dumb n he's a genius unlike Croc a bounty thief!! hahaha

LUFFY defeated CROC even when LUFFY has not obtain yet his HAKI!! that's how weak HAKI is.. LUFFY has to obtain 1st his HAKI in order to defeat Gaara!!! w/out it there's no way LUFFY can defeat Gaara!! wahahaha!!!!

Luffy's Gear 2nd makes him supersonic way above everyone in Naruto. Raikage and 9Tails Naruto being debatable.

-if I recall correctly, Gaara lost to someone who was slower than Lee, didn't have a Sharingan, didn't have the level of skill as Kimimaru, cannot make explosive like Deidara and uh, didn't defeat his father, I suppose.

Croc was fighting against guys who can also dodge bullets and lasers.
Croc can absorb water.
thread is about Croc vs. Gaara not ninjas vs. pirates or Luffy vs. Gaara for that matter.

my Croc, your Gaara? I've never made any assertion that Crocodile is mine, nor is Gaara yours I daresay. they're the property of Eichiro Oda and Masashi Kishimoto.

and Luffy defeated Crocodile because of Luffy was using Crocodile's elemental weakness against him, in a way I doubt Gaara could.
