    Askm.
We have similar beliefs, I also follow Jesus (pbuh) and believe in one God.
There are some things however that I cannot grasp or accept. One of them being: Original sin. I mean, how can a new born or unborn baby inherit the sins of the world? An innocent baby that has done nothing wrong?

    Romans 5:12; Job 14:1-4; Psalm 51:5; Ephesians 2:3 etc....

states how man's sin is passed down to his children.. i hope that'll help..

Very interesting question. In fact, sa akong tan-aw, kaning doctrina bahin sa original sin usa ni sa kinalawoman nga teaching sa simbahan. Ubay2x pud nga mga libro sa theology ang gi-dedicate aron lang pag-explain ani.

Original sin is actually an effect, not a cause. Original sin is not the actual fault of a new born baby.

For example, a father won a lottery. He instantly became a millionaire. After several years, because of a series of bad financial decisions, his family ended poorer than they were before winning the lottery.

Before, they were living in a fully furnished villa. Now, they are staying in a very small nipa hut unya buslot pa gyud ang atop. Kun mag-ulan, magkapuliki silag tago aron lang dili mabasa.

The whole family, including his 6-month old son is experiencing the effect of his original decisions. In that way, we can say that the new born baby has inherited the original mistake of his father.

This is the same as the original sin. It is not the actual fault that is passed down but the consequences of the original sinful choice.

hmmmmmm your question is like "why do we confess to God up to now, didn't he just died for our sins long time ago?"

Through his death, Jesus restored the gift of salvation. But just like any gift, the recipient should receive/accept it. That is why there is a sacrament called baptism.

Thanks for your explanation however, my Bisaya isn't very good :S

I read that Original sin means the sin committed by Adam.
