    Default WHO is the BREAD WINNER of your FAMILY?

    share ko sa ako story..

    Since I was a kid, my teachers would ask us "Who is the bread winner of your family?" my answer, as always, MY MOM. Until now, i still recognize my mom as the head of the family.

    I'm not from a broken family or whatever.. I have a father actually but he doesn't work hard for us or he can't even think for his family's future. He is just too contented with the income that can't help my mom. I don't know what is wrong with my dad. Imagine, if your mom shops for her make-ups, dresses, shoes, etc., my dad does that. my mom can't even buy something new for her self because she always have to budget her money for us to eat, for my brother to continue his studies, to give monthly salary to the helper, budgets for electricity and water.

    The last time i heard their conversation knowing that my dad received his salary days ago:
    mom: "you pay the electricity bill and the water bill coz my budget is not enough."
    dad: "i don't have budget for that..."

    Whew! imagine! he bought new stuffs for his laptop, gears for his marathons, and food for himself only!

    now that i still don't have any stable job, i'm being pressured by my mom to help her. I pity her.

    @lelepot:

    why did your father resigned being a bread winner? mind if i ask.
    na for me ang concept nako of having a family on the father side in the first place you can support them being the head of the family and ask help from your wife if dili na jud kaya..

    we have same story ts except the part that your dad doesn't contribute or help your mum with the bills.my parents had individual income but my mum made more money but my dad passed away 4 yrs ago and my mum had a stroke the day my dad died and I'm left with the responsibility of looking after our family.it was very tough i was only 20 back then all i knew was to spend money and partying thats what my life was like until my dad's demise everything had changed in just a snap of a finger. m mum's company went broke due to i had no clue how to run it.we had 250 workers and the ungrateful bastards went for a strike 3 days after my dad's death and mum in the hospital and the payroll was left undone because only my mum could widraw the wages money. i then realised that no matter how nice or generous you are to people when it comes to money you can trust no one. it was very inconsiderate of them despite knowing my family was still grieving and in so much pain coz we thought we're going to loose both parents anyways to cut the story short, i became streetwise after being a spoiled brat.i learned it the hard way but its alright i made it out alive.lol.

    now i am proud to say i am the breadwinner of our family. my mum is no longer working due to her health conditions but theres not one bit of a regret that i shoulder the responsibility after all family is everything.

    i don't want to be the bread winner of my family.. my mom too doesn't want us to shoulder the burdens they made.. she just advised me to learn how to be wise when it comes to money save more spend less coz you can't expect the unexpected.

    i don't think anyone would like to be a breadwinner. just imagine the responsibility ts but some people just don't have a choice. some people are doing it tough nowadays. every time i looked back i can always remember how hard it was, pain and suffering and the longing.

    but the best part of being a breadwinner is the feeling that your family is dependent on you. for some reasons i feel good that me and my mum consult each other in decision-making though I'm a breadwinner, I'm not stripping her off her responsibility as a parent.

    you should be proud of your mum ts and you should help her. i wish i can turn back time and have my dad next to me .

    you'll never know how hard parents raise their kids until you become a breadwinner.
