Big YES! No offense taken.
If Gus Cosio manages your MF, then go to his blog. buy the stocks he recommends. all profits go to you. and you do not have to pay management fees to the MF managers.
I got ORE at 2.55, 2.88 and 4.62 Php200k worth. If I liquidate now (Php4.70) I am way ahead. 4 months investment. I should thank mr cosio. He is really a big help.

That's great bai, however the average(or majority)Pinoy either doesn't have the technical skills, the budget, or time to do what you do.
As we've always stated, mutual funds is a great starting point for newbies.
And if they decide to be more active and invest directly in stocks, we also have mentors who can guide them.
Bottomline, as long as they start to invest it will improve their families future. Mao ra gihapon ang goal sa IMG.

I am just the doubting type-- especially if you play with my money. But, I respect your decision to trust the MF figures.
True. I am only presenting other options. While you are pushing MF, I encourage people to invest directly. Either way, I believe I am helping people by letting them know of other options. Unlike you, I do not gain anything if they invest coz I am not connected with any financial institution or anything selling financial products.
There's a conflict of interest here.
I will not post much in this thread as what I say will affect your getting clients since I do not see it fair to post numbers that are unsubstantiated.
OK ra na user199, nindot man pud ng daghan kag diversified portfolioes.
I'm also a doubting type before same as you because I'm a computer engineer by profession(USC), engineers love to anaylze. importante naa na kay investments kay sa wala jud bisan usa. Anyway this thread is for sharing infos, not to debate. Importante happy ka sa imung mga investments ug maka pa happy ka imu love ones. That's life is all about.
Pre, ok na. we are the computing types: ikaw U San Carlos (or University of south carolina?) comengg, ako University of the Philippines (diliman, Q.C.) elect engg (not practicing)
pwede ra man mag submit mga MF companies spreadsheet of what they invest in. with out macs we can update as quickly as they can supply us with data. mark to market? no problem, 1 press of the button updates all the data.
you think this is a debate; i believe this is just an exchange of ideas by 3 istoryans to get the best possible alternative to financial independence.
either way, by reading this thread the other istoryans will get to know other options, di ba? ako I am not recruiting. wala conflict of interest sa ako, unless the client wants to order a 1MVA power transformer from me.
nag request ko detailed MF investment before from my bank. somehow they never gave me 1. I was under the impression they keep if confidential para wala info ang competeing MF. but, i feel it is just a very convenient way to deny info to the investors.
try to get 1 sa FAMI for your MF. if you get it tell me. I might want to invest. I am not a starter. maybe some1 with a bit high net worth. but I need data to analyze.
Oh. case in point. I have to bring my mac to the bank, show them my calculations, to prove them wrong in computing my incentive (this is an addon to my regular deposit interest rate). The bank paid me the additional. so if the bank can be proved wrong because we have data, what about MFs.
just my thoughts.
