I agree with most of the opinions/feedback given here, that is:
*There is a boundary separating between animals that is acceptable in society to be eaten(Based on majority of humans excluding vegetarians of course) falling under the category:
A. "livestock"- which is BRED TO BE EATEN
B. "pets"- which is BRED TO GIVE US, humans, COMPANY or a sense of happiness/amusement having them around us."
I guess for us who have pets we sympathize when we see any animal that is suffering or in a "bad state"(hunted for their body parts, caged in a tight place..etc) since we can "relate" them to the situation wherein we take care for our animals(pets) like friends until they die yet these livestock or animals are just killed for meat. Luoy pod huna2xon dba?..But in the end we can still eat them since Survivability instinct overheads our Sympathy that is life and how it goes for us to live conveniently(the fact that livestock is bred for that purpose and is abundant we don't hunt animals anymore since it is BRED TO BE EATEN).
OT: cant help notice avatar and the thread title.hehehironically humorous.

i agree with this thread!!! well talk sir![]()
First,
Dogs & cats were "tamed" for companionship & friendship, and in prehistoric men as an aid in hunting
2nd
cows & other livestock = livestock; animals raised mainly for human consumption and as a source of labor and other commodities.
3rd
it's only a matter of choice.
sakto man ni.. naa rajud na sa tao.. naa man gani mukaon iro.. hehe.. pero survival bya diri sa world.. cguro tan.aw nila sa uban food.. sa uban pets.. sa uban wla ra.. naa rajud na sa paniniwala ug values..
I agree... we have to classify whether it is a companion or a source of food... if you own a pig, goat chickens etc it is your right if you dont want to eat them because you treat them as your pets not a source of food..but for some people it would be hard to resist them since wa mi naanad na pet ra sila...
