Short answer: Because it is a mistake to limit "Christ’s word" to the written word only or to suggest that all his teachings were reduced to writing.

Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

Faith doesn't come from reading the bible ALONE. It comes by preaching, by oral instruction.

The bible itself did not claim that IT is the ONLY rule of faith. True Christians always base their teachings on the Bible since its the word of God and written by men.

In that verse, Paul was talking to the Thessalonians. Tell me, sa pagsulti ni Pablo ana ngadto sa mga taga-Tesalonika, duna na bay BIBLE anang panahona?

Kun wala pa, dili kaha ORAL catechism/teachings ang gipasabot ana, considering nga HEARD (dili READ) ang action word nga gi-mentioned ni Paul?
