you forgot one simple fact, not all call center agents are failures as nurses or engineers or doctors. Look at it on a bigger perspective, not limit yourself to these professions. Of course, being a nurse nor engr nor doctor, you can get a way higher salary than a CC agent. But point is, majority of CC agents are non-diploma holders or the course they graduated in doesnt give them better opportunities. That's why they chose to work in a call center.
here's one example, a friend of mine is a graduate of MASSCOM. She tried to apply for her field of expertise but haven't found a good one, she found one but the salary is way low, so she opted to try as a CC agent, and now, she's happy with her job as a CC agent.
this may sound selfish, i don't care what society is trying to portray as good or bad morals, the society's point of view can't put food in my belly. So, i'm sticking to my own set of morals in order for me to survive.
