Default PLDT viloates net neutrality? are we safe?

    quote from another forum

We (only very recently) got reports that users are having problems with our service.

I did some investigating and it seems that only Philippine users are affected in combination with uTorrent 2.2
The problem I think is best described as: the tracker reports as 'working' (green) but it reports no seeds and only one peer (yourself!).
Hence you can't really download or upload anything.

From what I can tell your ISP (PLDT?) is doing some very naughty things, like routing your P2P traffic over one single IP (122.52.255.131) and definitely doing some deep packet inspection and modification! It might be faking the reply as well.

In any case, this is what I know now, if anyone else (from the Phillipines or otherwise) notices similar problems please post here and we'll get to the bottom of this :3

Feel free to call your ISP and complain because their approach violates Net Neutrality.

pero kabantay ko sa youtube ba ila url naa lagi domain nga mura gikan sa PLDT like ani while magstream ko naka bantay ko ang url kay http://o-o.preferred.pldt-mnl1.v5.ls...c.youtube.com/ does this means that pldt is tracking all things we are doing over the net? nuon have nothing to hide but daghan man gud mi naggmit sa net diri (-_-) dili pud kalikayan magdownload ug cracked softwares basin naa kalit mo posas nato LOL

stop using torrents, ISP will throttle your speed. Kung serious mo about downloading and uploading torrents, go for seedboxes

pila nako ka years sige download from torrents my speed before (2006) is 30+kB/s (plan 990), then pag upgrade sa SmartBro (Canopy), ni isbog pud ang download speed nako to 60+kB/s with the same plan.

Wala man koy problem hehehe, except anang major problem sahay sa connection sa PLDT.
