    yeah the battle system is MMO-ish but still i love it! hehe... interactive kaayo dili kaayo boring labi na kung mag duwa ka ug gabii... dugay ka dukaon...

    They're not summons, they're called Espers, there's 12 of them.

    My reaction on FFXII:
    1. The story is good, but too short. It could have used additional work. Most of the time, you're either walking or exploring dungeons or leveling up/farming. But there's tons to do in the game, hunts, sidequests, etc.
    2. The characters needed more "relationship" between them. The main character who's supposed to be the center of the story, ends up being a sidekick to Ashe (the princess) who seems to be the center of the story.
    3. The dubbing is SUPERB. The best dub work I've seen on any FF (or any game) for that matter.
    4. The gambit system is cool, but if you reached higher levels it all gets boring since you can just leave it alone and they'll do everything on their own. And it gets annoying during difficult battles when you want your characters to do what you want them to do, but they're doing something else.
    5. The music is awesome. Sakimoto is awesome as ever.
    6. As mentioned above, it does feel a lot more like Star Wars. A princess, a boy who lives in a desert, a pirate & sidekick with a ship, huge spaceships/aircrafts, empires, etc. It's still Final Fantasy to me, but better (as compared to X and X-2).
    7. Espers are basically useless in battle.You can deal a lot more damage with your characters on Haste/Hastega rather than rely on on esper, who usually releases their special attacks when their life is in critical condition, but most of the time a boss can kill them off in 3-5 strikes. This depends on the type of Esper you summoned though.

    My game time clocks-in at 78 hours, finished it already, but I'm doing the sidequests just for the heck of it. I'm not gonna do a 100% of it though, but I'll try.

    well, if your PC's up to it, you can try using PCSX2. Well, FFXII is not supported yet (it gets ingame pero dili pa playable all throughout) pero seeing how the emulator's development has been progressing, we might see it fully playable by the next version. They even have a video of the game running in PCSX2, sa introduction nga cutscene ni Vaan ug Penelo, rendered in real time 3D on a PC. Fully playable na gud ang FFX on the emulator, provided that your rig's got enough juice and muscle in it. You can bump up the resolution higher than the normal PS2 res.
