If your a fan of Kia Sportage. Get the new one if your budget allows. You will not know the cars history if you buy direct-surplus. (unless it came with a document history, but usually none.) Unless you know how to anticipate its faults just by looking at its mechanical parts cars or hearing how its engine revs. Unless you bought a surplus from someone who has tried using it and made an effort to make it run well you could get feedbacks from the previous owner with the car's quirks. It would sound nice if your surplus dealer gives you a good warranty. Again, just sayin'
