It is also my opinion though that the mind is either an analyzer or a memorizer. While it's true that your analytical skills can be sharpened, there's nothing you can do if you've reached your limit and it's still not as sharp as you'd want it to be.

Although scientists have proven the "10% access to brain" myth to have no scientific backing, I still find the idea fascinating and secretly hope that they're wrong. Heh.

Magiging maayo ka kung sundon nimo this tips:

-be resourceful

-be passionate about programming

-ask if you don't know. if they don't know then you have to find solutions.

-be patient and calm (wag mong tularan mga uban na programmer, sapoton kaayo)

-always accept criticism and corrections.

-avoid eating pride chicken.

-always code simple and use simple design, especially in large applications. Logic is the most important in programming

-ayaw anang attitude na "okay na ni" "pyts na ni" dapat quality jud! (quality consciousness)

believe and trust in God that's my secret

be humble and acknowledge the giver(God) of wisdom always!

when i on dev mode on one of my client i usually follow this simple 10 steps
1) Diskarte

3) Diskarte

5) Kaon

8 ) Diskarte

One of the things, some haven't mentioned.

Programming is basically putting your thought into code.

Try to learn more about how you think.
For example, I am a more visual thinker,
When I think of the number 1, I would think of the visual number 1 not the value of the number of singularity.
So I am not good at computations, but in effect I would have a clear map in my head of my algorithms.


One more, problems and their solutions, always have a root concept, always remember that.
It would usually boil down to a concrete term (example. Connections Handling, Threading, Transactions)
The next problem may come out somehow different, but once you find out the underlying concept, you'll know what to do.
