The thread is about skepticism. Majority of skeptics organization do not go out of their way to preach disbelief. They provide a public service by investigating supernatural claims, ranging from therapeutic touch, psychic detectives, faith healing, voodoo curses, channelling, dowsing, etc and keeping people informed about these things. People are getting ripped off by all sorts of charlatans who prey on the weak and gullible. Somebody has to step up to challenge these people. I'm glad to know that the brave skeptics in the U.S. didn't back down even as rich charlatans like Uri Geller and Sylvia Brown had filed lawsuits after lawsuits.

The light of reason is but a flicker. I believe mankind would be better off if they leave all these medieval superstitions behind. The only weapon the Enlightenment heroes had was their wit, humor and their pen. That's all they had to rely on. I wish to inherit even a small fraction of their intellect and courage...and use it ridicule all these mumbo jumbo beliefs if I have to. Just like what Mark Twain did. Just like what Thomas Paine did. Just like what Bertrand Russell did. And many more who had followed in their footsteps.

I've seen the Amazing Randi talk in a convention down in Texas a couple of years ago, which was conducted by the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry.

hehe, every explanations are all written in the Bible, you just Dont want to accept and believe it. Atheist are asking Physical Evidence yet it is well explained in the Bible the spirituality of God.

I am wondering why people like you would conclude that there is No God because your Limited Mind cannot explain it? Concluding that there is NO ultimate creator because you cannot produce any physical Evidence yet your limited mind dont have the capacity to even explore and explain the nearest solar system.

We have Advanced Technology Solar Telescope and Hubble Telescope that could see millions of light years away on all sides of space, yet there's still no evidence of HEAVEN or a GOD.
