first is money second is that WC3 engine is only capable of 8mb and dota 1 is on its limit..
and 1 thing dont compare it with HoN.. cuz hon is a failed copycat.

Ni ana man kaha ng mga developer na "it depends on the request of the community, If they want the changes in Dota ported to HON then we will do it.". WTF! kabaga og nawong, samtang si icefrog nag work og balance sa gameplay, gi test ang mga bugs, rebalance ang Hero then release ang changelog.

Gi review Sa hon then gi copy ang most of the changelogs. asa ka ana....(tan.awa ang SY di na orb etc.)
naa man cla kaugalingon na game, di na cla maghuwat sa changelog ni icefrog kay pka uwaw lang cla ana. grrrrrrr.. rawr.

Ang dota 2 man gud kail ang graphics ang nausab... If you want war on the screen, Dota 2 can give you that.

What we saw sa pre beta was like 60+ characters available, i read somewhere when it gets released it will have 100+ characters. Ill try looking for a link.

Hahaha appear bai, joker pud ka da. Pendragon did nothing more than maintain the dota-allstars site. Guinsoo on the other hand left the game to play wow and only came back after seeing how successful icefrog handled the game kay nahangol sa kwarta. The end result of Guinsoo + Pendragon = a cartoony game like LOL.But what can I do I doubt ma convince pa ka kay like most LOL kids for one basin nagtoo pud ka na Traxex was based on Ashe.

Katawa lang ta sa $5M worldwide prize announcement sa LOL considering sa China lang daan last year the total prize pool was over $6m.

Godmenuelz is correct, si icefrog maoy nagpauso. When Guinsoo left, among all the spinoffs, ang dota allstars maoy nisikat.

A lot of people are overlooking something but have you noticed that the reason why a lot of games are copying the original Dota is because Dota itself is not protected by Intellectual Property rights? Why is it not protected? Because it is just a custom made map that happens to run on a Blizzard engine hence it's not covered by Blizzard's warcraft 3 as an intellectual property. And Blizzard, for some reason, doesn't seem to be interested in adopting it.

Now that Valved has picked up Dota, I'm pretty sure that the copycats will be scratching their heads from here on out. They don't wanna get some law suits knocking at their door would they?

So para sa katong mga LoL og HoN fanboys, you should actually be grateful sa Dota and hate Dota 2.

Icefrog picked Dota after the beta stages (5.84c) where Pendragon and Guinsoo left it if I am not mistaken. Sure, Pendagon and Guinsoo made a heck of a job in making dota but Icefrog replicated their work a hundred times better. So seriously now, who gives a **** about Pendragon and Guinsoo?
