I gained 25lbs in 25 days, w/ some fat of course but if your goal is to gain weight then you have nothing to worry about.
ive read a lot of article and there is nothing new about their BS. they just keep saying the same thing all over again. i suggest you dig more deeper. i think you must start with this guy "scooby". you can find him in youtube or in facebook(Scooby's Home Fitness and Bodybuilding Workouts). that guy is the real deal.

yes, i gained way too small if you see it in that perspective. but that doesnt bother me at all. my main GOAL is to weigh 155lb with 8%bodyfat. im not even comfortable weighting 165lb with around 14%bodyfat, how much more if i weigh beyond that with much higher bodyfat percentage. the idea of gaining lean muscles is not only by weight alone, you should consider the bodyfat percentage and symmetry. by the way, before i explain to you my approach in bodybuilding, may i know what your main goal is? do you want to be a bodybuilder or weightlifter? the way you spit here is more on weightlifter? then ok then.. go on with your gaining weight and strength. but if you trained to have a very appealing physique, you should know that you must not exceed your bodyfat to 17%.

my current stats when i weigh 165lb with 14%bodyfat:
    bench press- 240lb(1~3rep)
    deadlift - 340lb(1~3rep)
    squat- 280lb(3~6reps)

im not really that strong and even depleting at the moment due to my cutting, but my concern is to achieve my GOAL.

If you've read about something like that. Show me. Scooby is not the real deal. I've been watching him for months before I found out many things. That's the real deal. You dig deeper, your back doesn't look like you deadlift 340lbs no offense. I guess you got it from the lat pulldowns and chin ups. Still impressive since V kayo siya

And symmetry plays no part in the muscles gained. Mao nana sya ang buhaton sa bodybuilder, to even out the muscle mao btaw na ilang g.sculp. Would you rather look like Jay Cutler or Ivan Stoitsov? I'd choose the latter.

Don't get me wrong. Nindot gyud kag physique sa tnuoray lang. But you lack proper foundation.

    Quote from Arnold Schwarzenegger:
I was doing heavy squats, deadlifts and bench presses, which has always made me appear strong. Certain bodybuilders lack that look. They have good bodies but they don't appear powerful. The reason is inadequate foundation training. Good early training shows up in the muscles around the spine

But whatever you say, since 4-5 years naman kaha ka nag gym dba? Sige, I'll respect your opinion but I'm not bashing you in any way. I'm just trying to help. Don't start a fight coz you know di ko mo sukol peace

To all fitness fanataics. Here is a post from the bodybuilding mythbusters thread in their website!

    "
Myth: You can only gain 2lbs of muscle / month.

    Facts:

Effects of high-calorie supplements on body compos... [J Sports Med Phys Fitness. 2002] - PubMed result

    They gained ~ 4lbs / month average.

Consumption of fat-free fluid milk after resistanc... [Am J Clin Nutr. 2007] - PubMed result

    http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/6990/buildmuscle.gif

In a 12 week period. Someone gained 6 lbs / month, average with milk was ~ 3 lbs.

Here you COULD theoretically argue it was just glycogen / water even if we simply don't know.

    Starting Strength novie effect:

    http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/6990/buildmuscle.gif

Mark measured with caliper, uploaded pictures and videos of huge strength gains. So definitly zach gained a lot more then just 2lbs / month IMO and not just waterweight because that won't account for 31lbs of lean mass in not even 3 monhts. 11lbs / month. "

oh my God.. what is this?.. relax bro...

anyway, as i said we have different approached. if you doubted that i can deadlift 340lb, i can post a video here. i dont have a video right now though, but i have only around 290lb including the bar. but before that, chill out.

"And symmetry plays no part in the muscles gained. Mao nana sya ang buhaton sa bodybuilder, to even out the muscle mao btaw na ilang g.sculp. Would you rather look like Jay Cutler or Ivan Stoitsov? I'd choose the latter."

i dont want them both. as i said my goal is 155lb with 8%bodyfat. "And symmetry plays no part in the muscles gained"---> ok then, since you chose Ivan i already understand what your goal is. then symmetry doesnt need at all. closed.
