Hec Zephyr 750 Watts

Hi peeps. I just need a bit of help. I have a Hec Zephyr 750 watts power supply. For the past 2 weeks, been having problems when running a game. My video card is an ATi Radeon HD4870x2.

When I start a game, the monitor display would shut down while some of the systems on the CPU is still running and then restart the computer. But ive noticed 1 or 2 of the 5 red LED's on the video card would flash before shut down and the middle green LED on the video card would flash sometimes also after the computer reboots. I don't know if anyone here has had this problem before.

I've been searching allover Google and most have said that the power supply is not giving enough power to the hardware that needs it most. So I will start there.

Does anyone here know where I could have my Hec Zephyr 750w PSU serviced, checked up or repaired here in Cebu? Any help will be so much appreciated. Thanks.

Bro sure ko connector voltage drop na imong scenario (I think hehehe), try kuno ug hook-up ug multimeter sa PCB mismo sa videocard nimo kung pila gyuy VDrop? i-furmark imong PC (Load) while magtest ka para mahibaw-an gyud nimo, i-apil na lang sad ang mismo luyo sa +12V connectors (PSU Side) nga ga connect sa VGA,

Visually inspect pud kung ni brown na ba imong connector pins or slight melted plastic mismo sa connectors nimo, kasagaran musiga na ang warning leads ana tungod kay below 11V na imong supply sa videocard tungod lang sa connector loose contact, test kuno kung asa gyuy nag VDrop, ang PSU ba or ang transmission lang

how old naman ni imo psu? Hec Zephyr 750 Watts should be able to support your setup. loose contact ra guro na. try to check if nanglagom ba imo connectors, and try firmly reinserting it...

try sa daw tang2 imong gpu, (if naay spare gpu nga medyo gaan sa power consumption) then i.boot imong comp, if walay prob, then it could be your PSU, or basin ang connection going towards your GPU, hope dili ang GPU mismo ang naay prob ani...

other option would be, try ka another true rated PSU...

Sa connector pins wala man brown or melted. Pero wala pa nako ma try sa multi-meter. I forgot to mention, ang connected sa PSU: 3 HDD, 1 4870x2 (w/ Arctic Accelero Extreme Cooler), 1 CD Drive.

There is something else I noticed. When I touch the other plugs on the PSU, pag matandog gamay madungog nako ang mga fans muhinay gamay. Mao sad mahitabo kung naa koy iplug na additional drives. So i think im losing power. Naa ba nindot na repair shop na kamao jud mu ayo ug PSU?

By the way. I bought this brand new sa NuTech sa Emall and Ive been using this for 2 years now.

2 years ago na diay bro? signs of aging na sya. replace ang pinaka safe method...
