Need help di na nako makasolod sa previous OS.. (multi-boot)

Kumusta na man imo problema, solve na? (naki-tsismis lang).
Ako gud, dugay na kong nag-dual boot (XP & Win7) and from time to time, mag-reformat pud ko ani. OK ra man.
Tingali, ang sepyat, didto pa sa pag-partition nimo sa imong HD; or the same partition sa imong XP sab nimo na-install ang new OS. Hmmn....

Basin. Experience ko na sa una. Ang akong gihimo, gibutangan nako'g pangalan tanan nako drive aron kung mag-install (from booting) ko OS, di ko mosepyat sa partition nga akong instolan, he, he, he.

no sir, la mani nasolve.. and wla sad to nako nainstallan og laen nga OS on the same partition with the older OS..

ya, possible naoverwritten cguru ang mga files na kelangan para pagboot or, not rily sure kng naunsa.. cguru di jud maayu ecombine/dual ang xp og 7, coz dghan man sad nagkaproblema ug ingana (just my 2 cents).. but then naa man sad nua uban nga nakamanage dual 7 og xp..

Bossing m4a1, ako, i've been dual booting (XP & W7) for years now, so far, OK man cya.
Basta, una i-install XP for first partition, then second W7 on the other partition. Kailangan una
i-install ang XP.

una man sad nako ang XP ato, then i installed 7 on an older hdd.. then something went wrong so i created another partition para sa 7.. at first ok pman cya, but kinda slow jud ang bootup i dunno why..

Akong experience sa una, my 2 OS'es was installed on 2 separate HD's, pero ka-experienced ko na mora'g hinay sya. So I tried to install sa same HD with different partitions. Nakita ko ang difference sa speed, medyo paspas sya kung same HD lang (in my own experience).
Sa imong kaso (@bossing m4a1), basin ang data sa unang pag-install nimo sa w7 sa master boot record sa HD #0, nagpabilin pa didto, then nag-install ka otro sa w7 on another HD, additional na pud to nga data nga nakadugang sa imong MBR.
As far as I know, sa multi booting na system isa lang ang location sa HD nga tua tanan information sa mga OS'es (MBR). So kung ang "other HD" that contains one of the OS was removed/erased/reformatted, ang data sa MBR is "as is". it is now trying to access/locate the missing OS. Basin mao ni ang nahitabo.
If you want to experiment multi-booting again, I would suggest nga i-reformat una ang HD nga instolan sa XP, partition it (if not yet partitioned), then install XP on that HD partition, then W7 on other partition.

hehe slowdown sir hehe.. let me get it straight, kbale ang MBR naa dha ang tanang information sa mga OS nga nainstalled sa HDD? even if duha imong HDD (nga dunay OS), only one HDD has the MBR? dli pede imong pc duha kabuok MBR even if more than one imong HDDs?
and asa man na ni.exist o nabutang ang MBR sir? is it located/created on the very first partition of the HDD or at the very beginning of the HDD? and unsa mahitabo if nagreformat ka sa drive C or the partition nga nagdala sa system/OS, mawala sad ang MBR?
i just installed a new xp on a new drive, but unintentionally installed on the wrong partition, so akong gireformat to nga partition, then nag.install ko utro sa first partition.. bago nasad akong MBR ana?
and.. i noticed on the Disk Management, unsaon man nimo paghimo sa usa ka partition/drive nga Primary System partition? does the first partition u create automatically become the primary partition? mrag nakainstall man sad gud ko og OS sa Logical drive lang..

hehe i hope u can enlighten me sir dghan gyud ayu nang mga pangutanaha hehe
