Don't worry. This will be released. That's how things goes. You just have to wait 48 years tho.
Might be out in less than 8 months..
Blizzard makes Diablo III require an internet connection
Anyone who loves Blizzard for the previous two Diablo games may just start to hate them after reading this news about the highly-anticipated Diablo III.
Remember how Ubisoft has managed to upset just about every gamer on the planet by requiring an always-connected machine to play its PC games? Well, Blizzard is doing the exact same thing with Diablo III. That’s right Diablo fans, if you want to play you need a solid internet connection. Offline play is just not an option.
If you want a reason as to why this decision has been made, Blizzard is happy to provide you with two. The first is of course piracy, which they believe an always-connected game will limit. The second is down to providing a fair game on Battle.net.
Blizzard is not allowing any mods in Diablo III and doesn’t want any cheats being used either. The developer states the only way to control this is with a game they can guarantee isn’t running any such additional software. Keeping you online during play apparently solves that problem and means whatever level your character is, is a true representation of the time you have spent in the game, not some mod or cheat working overtime in the background.
The final bit of news that has appeared about the game is that buying it might not be the end of your spending. The auction house included in the game will accept real money for buying items as well as allowing you to sell them. Blizzard’s reason for including this is for those gamers who have, “more money than time.”
Has Blizzard just made three huge mistakes, or is this what needs to happen for PC gaming to survive? I can imagine a few pre-orders have been cancelled already, and have to question the logic behind what Blizzard is doing here.
Diablo has a massive following, yet removing mods, requiring a connection, and introducing cash to the game to get ahead all seem like steps that will turn fans off rather than building excitement for the release.

I've never been a fan of the diablo mods so its perfectly fine, about time they decided that the game will be online only this is great news to me! the cash shop on the other hand is something Im not sure but farmers have been doing this for a long time already via 3rd party sites so nothing much of a real difference at all.
Its quite obvious ngano naai monthly cost ang wow, but thats for another thread. This game wont have monthly costs just like D1 and D2.
boooooo! sugod pag partner sa blizzard ug activision. nadamay ang blizzard pagka-greedy. look at how activision is doing with the call of duty series... they're making it a cash cow. taga year sila mag-release peru wala jud innovation ang call of duty.
Im not sure where you got that information but Activition has no controlling say over the existing projects for Blizzard, both companies ensured that and I recall reading it somewhere. Logo ra gyud tawn ang naas Activition karon.
Im not a total fan of the real money purchase but its really not that different from what D2 was, 3rd party sites selling items for real money, Blizzard sees it a possible income generator so why not tap into it? Those funds will help maintain the server anyway.
Im not even sure how the "taga year sila mag release" relates to diablo games. This game is like 10yrs in the waiting..

since theyr'e partners, I'm sure dako kaayo ug influence ang activision sa blizzard on how to cash cow their products. xD
