I'm pretty sure they're going over the tapes and will be talking about the fine details on improving Team defense and offense.



Personally, I would love to see them play Japan or Korea (or any team for that matter who have already played in the World Cup).

If someone is willing to foot the bills, I think we can do something like what MVP did for the Smart Gilas team. Playing with World Cup caliber teams will effectively point out the AZKALS' weaknesses and they can work on those weak points and speed up the improvement process.

Anyone else think this is a good idea?

Kuwait was a 1982 World Cup qualifier, and also played in the 2000 Sydney Olympics, needless to say Kuwait is an established footballing nation with a proud tradition as well.

As to MVP, di kaayo ko bilib ana niya. Sure nindot iyang gibuhat bringing NBA stars to play against Gilas, but I think ths Smart Gilas program lacks continuity, what happens after 2011 when the current crop signs up for the PBA draft? start from scratch again? What we need for both football and basketball is a sustainable grassroots program

to those who said our national team havent improved up to now, here is a good video of how Japan trashed us in 1999. leigh gunn is the only fil-foreigner here while the great shinji ono played as well. though japan will still beat us today, but not like this score.

goes out to all who said our locals are better than what they call half breeds! louy na lang ko sa ato mga players dri klaro kaayo wala pay experience. hilaw pa kaayo pero gipaduwa pa ghapon. im sure the PFF doesnt want to see this happen again. up to now, we are still waiting for the next caligdong or next gener of the new generation.
