40C idle, 55C load is very, very normal..



20C idle @ stock cooling in our climate is ABNORMAL. Not even if you are inside a controlled environment with multiple 5hp split-type airconditioning.

20C idle just defies the laws of thermodynamics. Unless you are in sub-zero ambient temp.

Intel's C3/C6 + C1E on the 2nd generation i5/i7 idles at 1c above ambient, so you just need 19c ambient to get 20c idle Surely that 5HP can bring ambient temps down to 16~18c.

I get 26c on mine w/o AC at idle, but idle temps barely matter.
