Bai, do you live in Ban-tal area? What decongestion are you talking about? Even though they will open more roads at the IT park, it will still congest in the crossroads, shell Banilad & Tesda flyover area. The bottleneck is there. Why don't they resolve the problem there first before they add more problems. This project has been all but questionable. All Capitol initiated projects are questionable. Tomas may have politically motivated agenda of his opposition but indeed this is a traffic nightmare for us & again, a milking cow for a few.

I think so long as congestion problems can be overcome or at least alleviated then Ciudad project could be good for the city's image. The problem here is that while we do enjoy some nice amenities (courtesy of the private sector) like many Philippine tourist spots we suffer from a crisis of identity... who are we and what are we all about? Confidence, esteem and character is what I'm hoping for Cebuanos as a result of the Ciudad initiative.

I live just across the flyover farther from Ciudad going to Ayala. I know the problems there.

So if this worsens the already awful traffic situation in Ban-Tal, who should we hang?

Why use such a term? We're too civilized to hang people for supporting a notion. We're no longer in the Medieval Era, people will always have their say. Just stick to the discourse.

Man, the traffic situation in the TESDA/IT Park/Waterfront area during rush hour is a nightmare. I've seen the traffic just grind to a halt up to JY Square. Tommy may have a point on his opposition to the project. We need more roads going to Banilad.
