If your using the D3100 the 70-300mm VR is much better choice.

Mas hinay lang mo-AF if compared to 70-300 VR but quality-wise gamay ra difference. If you can live with the slightly slower AF then it would be OK as the price difference from the 70-300 VR is around 10K.

IMO, it's much better than those 3rd party glasses in this price range.

Nakabasa ko ug daghang negative comments ani nga lens pero wala man silay ilaha or nakagamit gyud ba. Mas maayo ang mohatag ug review ani kanang naka-experience na gyud. Impressed ko ani nga lens after nako ma-view ang Flickr aning tawhana ....

It's not super sharp at 300mm but for me it's already good considering it's price.
