good evening po. meron po akong malayan box turtle 3inch po, gusto ng mama ko ipamigay, kahit new brought ko pa =( pero sabi nya ok lang daw po basta RES ang turtle. naa ba mga tao po na pwde magtrade ng ganitong turtle para sa duha/two ka 2inch and half or kahit 2inch lang na size na res? kahit with additional 200 pesos with my MBT papayag po ako. help po. nakakainis si mama nasira na ung dream ko na icollect lahat ng class ng mga turtles.

mga masters... asa ta maka palit ug UV lamp? ganahan ko sakto ra ang ila madawat na heat ug UV. para healthy kaayo ni ako mga RES.

palit sad nya ko atong timer nga naa sa handyman sa ayala para ma control time-controlled na ang lights. para naa sad ni sila night time. hehe

I HOPE someone awesome will reach his/her hand for Stewie and give her an awesome place to live in..

there were some people were willing to adopt, but i had to screen them to make sure stewie wouldn't fall into wrong hands. unfortunately, i have to educate them on how to properly take care of RES and all of them backed out. =( they thought keeping RES were as easy as keeping goldfishes. for now, stewie and ollie are still in the same tank. i'm monitoring them closely now for any aggression toward each other.

masters! wat Aquatic Plant nndot ebutang sa akng RES tank? kana lng less maintenance required nga plant & cheap.. coz i want my RES tank to be greener and i want my turtz and my pleco to have something to nibble on for snacks

RES are never picky eaters. they eat everything in the tank, so keeping live plants in their tank will be a short-lived idea. it makes the tank real messy pud. if you want the tank greener, use plastic, non-toxic plants. then use a feeding tub a.k.a. planggana when feeding them to keep the tank water clean... ^_^

I've got a RES. He was tiny when I bought him, but he's at least seven inches now. In fact I need to build an outdoor pond for him soon as he's really getting too big for his tank. I called him Cloverfield so you can probably guess how old he is. A real greedy guy, he will splash like crazy whenever I walk by him (obviously demanding food). They are smarter than you might imagine.

i've been buying UV bulbs from Piper's petshop... they even have fixtures for it. ^_^

Stewie and Ollie update: Stewie shows constant agression to Ollie. For those wala kabalo, they're both females. I just realized na girl silang duha last year, and I think it's too late to change Stewie's name haha. I sometimes feed them everyday, but there are days that I do not give them food. This is applicable for RES 3 years old and above. Every other day lang daw lawgan. At least thats what the book says.

Yes, I still take them out and enjoy 30-minute morning walks.

For people who are having a hard time determining the gender of their RES, it's normal. A 2 or 3-year old male RES would have really long claws, and females would have shorter ones.

These are Ollie's claws. She's turning four years old next month. If ing-ani ka mubo ang claws sa inyo RES, then female na siya....

tag pila ang timer sa ayala handyman? diba tag 500+ man toh? para pud unta sa akong mga RES hehe... 3 sila kabuok 1 year ang mga gap... hehe

bro! suya kaau ko.. i'd also love to have walks with my turtz under the sun. pero lisud lang kaau. coz i have 4 turtz and they're still so small. 2 are 3-4 inches & 2 are 2 inches pa.. basin ma lose focus ko, d nako ma bantayan mawagtang ang isa or duha
