Is the Filipino a Stupid Creature?

I sometimes wonder,are we really stupid? We are the only Christian country in Asia. We see thousands of people going to Church. We believe in God but most of us don't practice what we preach. We Filipinos are very religious. Sometimes we pray too much and tend to forget to act on how to achieve what we prayed for. We pray for blessings (Money, Career, Business, etc.) but we don't do enough to achieve it. We know what's wrong or right but we keep our eyes closed.

South Korea and Japan are not Religious Countries as far as I know but they are a Progressive Country. Simply because they Love their Country.

If we love our Country that much, then why do our Politicians are so damn Corrupt? We do we Patronize Imported products rather than buying our own Filipino products (Maybe because other countries do it better? or We don't have enough fund to make our own product?)

Maybe because we got our influence from colonial mentality, like Spaniards opened our eyes to corruption. The Chinese taught us how to do the "Under the table thing" or "Lagay mentality" or "Pangpa-Dulas" since the Chinese are peaceful people (what they want is to do Business).

But I'm proud to be Filipino, there is still hope for Change. It may take a while but I believe it will come.
