lol iam using 850 watt on crossfire 6970..24/7...nonstop...ok ra kaayu na 500watt brad pero if you can get 600 much better...according to my power watt reader single card consumes 300+ watt on non overclock system..
edit: this is 100% full load @ 99% gpu usage plus 60% cpu ussage using olhascat software..

@TS kaya ra baya 500 watts na psu. but its not a bad thing to have extra power available. mas maayo magdaghan kaysa magkuwang... an average system with single 6970 with consume 350-400 watts @ load, thats about 20% allowance nalang for a 500watt psu(assuming tru-rated)...Last edited by werty; 07-06-2011 at 09:49 AM.

TS HD6900 series user here. sauna silverstone 500watts ako gamit okay ra. maka OC pako hangtod 850mhz. karon using corsair tx 650 mas samot ka okay hehe. budget ray agda brad.

much better if naay at least 20% extra wattage allowance ang imong PSU para dili ma stress imong PSU. if stress gani imong PSU kanunay, it will shorten the lifespan of the components inside & the PSU itself. how do you know if stress or almost full load na imong PSU? hikapa siya, if init gani kaayo then mao na indication nga loaded na imong PSU. Besides, ang efficiency sa PSU will be at its best if 40-60% load siya, above 60%, mo slowly decrease pod iyang efficiency..
