good but not enough. it should have been total BAN for all Filipinas..

this is not to stereotype but based on actual first hand experience, the middle east is NOT safe for our women, domestic workers to skilled professionals.

of course there are exceptions, but ...those are exceptions!

ooh, namugnaw ko nag lantaw sa photos.. i was once...

pero sis, we do not expect that we will end up like this. in our minds while sitting on that plane the first time, are images of our families, dolls n doll houses for daughters, toy cars for sons, shoes for a brother.. bags for a sister.. cigarettes for uncles, perfumes for aunties..

and that image in our minds is so powerful.. till the tents set in

Tax free pa gyud unya libre accommodation, transport, plane tickets, etc...

So kadtong mga naswertihan, strike the iron while it is hot.

the lure of money is so great and powerful that mothers leave infants, fathers leave families, all thinking that the plane they are riding on is a rainbow and that the pot of treasure is at the other end when they land.

that is the problem with minds.. they think, and do not feel.

one abused Filipina means a lot more than the millions earned by those consultants.

i have seen it first hand, as a Filipino, believe me it hurts. not so much as the cuts and bruises and the rape, what hurts deep is that we are so impotent to help.
