Theist believe in absolute morality given by God. Atheist believe that morality is Relative on each persons own perspective. Please state what is your basis for Good and Bad first before you will say that word because we have different basis for that and each Atheist has his own concept and Guidelines on what is Good and what is Bad. You cannot use the "We, Atheist, and Morality" on the same sentence because it will be self defeating.
    @saint hard and siodenz

Do you agree with the Inquisition and the Crusades based on your "absolute" morality now?

History has shown that religion bases its morality on the social norms at the time.

That explains why it was morally acceptable to kill people during the inquisition and crusades.

The pope during those times was more on a war lord or a military general than the spiritual leader we see today.

I suggest you read up more on history so you will have a better understanding of how society shapes a cultures laws and morality.

The point you have to understand is.... morality is not constant across different cultures and eras. There is no absolute morality so to speak.. not even in the Catholic Church.

Morality stated in the BIBLE is CONSTANT and was Not changed from the Time the BIBLE was written. Kanang morality nga dili constant sa kada panahon mao nay epekto if imung i intruduce ang idea nga way Ginoo.

and me thinking your right would change my life?
    of course not!

    exodus 31:15

For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.

Our church laws are largely based on interpretations by bible scholars and encyclicals issued by church leaders like the pope...

Do you mean to say that these encyclicals are flawed?

How can you be sure that what you currently know as "absolute morality" today will not be revised again in the future when the bible is again reinterpreted to match the sign of the times by these theologians and church leaders?

Were not talking about our own lives but the lives of the people we can help...

Selfish sad kaayo and self serving ra kaayo to think only of ourselves....

Bahala na na' imong God nako basta I will just help other people and I find it a waste of time nga mu kiss up niya through worship. I'll just let my actions do the talking.... for me they mean more than any form of worship.
