Well, even if they don't talk about politics during mass or homilies, there will probably be some reporter or journalist who would want to know what those leaders think about the issues. And they cannot just disable their being religious leaders when appearing in the media, so to speak.

Ricardo J. Cardinal Vidal for example, appearing on TV or in the newspaper wearing his favorite T-shirt, shorts and slippers and speaking in Cebuano while being interviewed at home about the RH bill, will always be Ricardo J. Cardinal Vidal to the viewers or readers.

    EDIT: fixed quotes.

i am against sa pag pang hilabot sa roman catholic religion in the philippines sa balaud ug implementation sa mga bills sa state sa philipinas, i am against sa mga business sa simbahan nga klaro kaayo nga negusio nga walay tax. example school grabi kaayo ug tuition fee pina ka mahal ang simbahan ug tuition fee sa pilipinas unya wala raba tax.

kasal mahal kaayo, lubong mahal kaayo, bunyag mahal kaayo must be donation lang dili fix rate....

sir, kaning panghilabut sa buysit nga simbahang katoliko kay unconstitutional and basically ang simbahan ra ang nagviolate sa law.

separated naman jud ang church and state, but because of its great influence to the philippines for three centuries, it's hard to eradicate them in our system, both political and social!

sakto sad ang inyong gi-ingon, it's hard to exterminate religion. and i might as well suggest our legislators that make this country a secular country, because in the first place, i can't feel secularism, provided it is stated in the law!
