    answer to the thread title?
    YES, DEFINITELY.
they're just like us, visitors ani nga site. they just have tasks delegated to them, that is needed for the site to continue existing. so i think their thoughts are very much welcome. and they've been here dugay2x na and most have been sensible man sad..
plus, based sa unsa akong nakita, they post sensible stuff in sa topic.

think of it like this. BASKETBALL. us ordinary visitors would be the players sa court which symbolizes the topic, and the mods are the mere spectators.
we see things from the inside. with all the biases, emotions, etc because we want to win it. the spectators see things from the outside. they see the whole thing. they can analyze and break the game down for us, if we want to. like "bai naay mismatch o" or "ipressure ang PG kay dli kaayu na maayu mudribble".

    hope you get my point.

If you really have proven your point, why do you keep posting about this issue? Move on then.

You're setting an example here, really. You choose to take the path of "...kid that has been told to sit down yet refuses to sit down." sort of act. Well, all I have in front of me is the infraction button, so rant away to your liking.

Let's get back to the case in point--where is your unquestionable proof, and your cast of supporters, to prove that I am "playing the game against the visitors"? You keep forgetting you're the minority here--if the majority of visitors hate the way I run things in the science section then I would have been booted years ago. So your remark is on shaky ground.

In this case, yes, it has become very personal because you are challenging how I run things in that section, which you should really stop doing, because like I said, I'm just a guy with an infraction button.

It's time to pull out an old thread again (BTW this thread has to be really moved to the Support section because it's indeed a Site Support issue). https://www.istorya.net/forums/genera...way-klaro.html

The internet is a medium, much as "air" is the medium to conduct speech. As thus, like you cannot own "air" you cannot own "the internet". This is perhaps the reason why people keep clamoring about fairness, bias, etc., because they feel they have the "right" to free speech and non-bias in "the internet", and since a place you technically cannot own can be equated to a public place, people tend to see that participating in an internet forum like iStorya.net is a public activity, much like someone exercising free speech at a public plaza (not owned by anybody).

However, here comes the clincher--a specific venue (such as iStorya.net, which requires a server or several servers, which is private property, to run) is something that can be owned. A forum/bulletin board is indeed a venue for discussion. Since a venue can be owned, an internet forum therefore, is private property.

Here is what ExpertLaw Online has to say about it.
Internet Privacy Laws and Private Messages

"As a general rule, any post you make on a forum owned by someone else - public or private - becomes the property of the forum owner, unless otherwise noted. This is typically explained in the TOS.

    This is not illegal.

With respect to the other forum owner banning you, she doesn't need a reason to ban you. Internet forums are owned and operated by individuals and are private property. No one is obligated to allow you onto their private property, you may be banned from a site because it is Sunday or some other day ending in Y.

This is not illegal, either. "

There you go, even the law supports how moderators should behave in their own turf.

moderators are supposed to be referee. you can't expect a referee to punch a boxer..a referee is there to enforce the law and not box..
