Mods can participate as long as someone else is the moderator for that topic. Murag conflict of interest man nga ikaw nag moderate yet you are arguing then youre the one giving infractions.

Kung mu involve ang mod sa conversation, better to have another mod act as the arbiter or moderator.

Naay uban mods who can control their being a mod and a forumer pero di gyud malikayan usahay especially if init na ang topic

I get the "we are just guests in your house" analogy but there must also be some fairness in the conversation and exchange of ideas because that is what makes istorya.net a great forum where each poster is given equal merit for his posts and where we can freely exchange ideas, opinions and thoughts.

Would you then ask the owners of the house nga "ilisi nang housemember ninyo kay bati iyang batasan". If so, then do ask them, plain and simple--IM Beor, Galadriel or Vern, and inquire about this issue. It's quite useless to discuss issues of this nature here because iStorya.net keeps getting equated to some owned plaza or town square, when in fact it is not such.

if you(moderator) say that I am giving out smart ass remarks, that is an easy way of calling me a smart ass. if I retaliate on that comment..why do I get an infraction? what do you think people?

Because strictly speaking, you did it in a mocking, insulting manner, and the rules of the forum state that you cannot get away with freely throwing such remarks towards mods. Furthermore, I invite people to check how I described you as giving out "smart a." remarks in the science section, to see if it had any smidgen of maliciousness in it--it was a factual observation based on your posts:

    Here it is:
    https://www.istorya.net/forums/10374105-post75.html

You may observe that the comment was not even directed towards YOU as an individual, but they refer to you POSTS, yet you direct your retaliation (and please others take note that, somehow his use of this word alone, "retaliation" is very telling of his objectives on why he keep raising this issue in this thread and that other thread in the Science section) towards the mod.

If it's to keep individuals like you out of iStorya.net, people who challenge authority and who feel they can get away with it and be "sikat", or "I'm the hero of the hour because I know better than they on how to run this place", then a big "Yes, it's what a mod should do" to your query.

Well its just like basketball game in a private basketball court.
where the moderator is the private referee.

and since he is the referee he is free to take sides and hit some score for himself.
anyway he owns the court and you are free to leave the court anytime.
all he cares about is that you follow the rules of the game in that court.
