From PLDT WeRoam Cuts Prices As Globe Visibility Adds HSDPA

The Philippine wireless Internet wars heat up again as Globe and PLDT line up interesting offers sure to tempt mobile warriors.

First, PLDT WeRoam prepaid subscribers can now avail of lower rates, with a 30-day subscription plan now only worth PHP 1,125.00, down from the PHP 1,700.00 I mentioned in an earlier entry. What’s more, prepaid WeRoam subscribers now have the option to buy access for as little as one day, about PHP 75 for 24-hour access.

WeRoam prepaid credits can be purchased at participating Smart Wireless shops and computer stores. Credits can also be purchased via Smart Money.

Meanwhile, Ambot Ah! mentions that Globe Visibility is now available with High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA). For PHP 2,000.00 a month, a Globe Visibility subscriber obtains unlimited mobile Internet access with speeds of up to 1.4Mbps via HSDPA.

No details were released regarding what device Globe Visibility subscribers will use to access the network, but I earlier mentioned that it may well be the Huawei Mobile E620 data card.

Globe executives say HSDPA service is only available in limited areas but coverage will be expanded soon.
Therefore mas nindot diay nga mag PLDT WeRoam
