Your College Course: Personal or Parents' Choice?

ako, remember pako nga pag kinder nako, i rily want to be an engineer.... naa pako pic during ato nga program sa skul... hehehe....

that's y cguro pag elementary, mo excel jud ko sa math... bisan walay tuontuon. pero sa ubang subjects wa jud.... hagbong pako sa HELE. paggrade 3... hahaha....

Sa pag highskul... mao gihapon pero sugod na og study asta pod sa uban subjects.... wa may mabuhat sa seminaryo.... (magpari diay ko....).... dili oy.... gisulod ko ako papa didto para daw d masaag sa sayop nga dalan..... (unsay diay nang sayop nga dalan??)...... toink.... pero ana ako papa nga after highskul grad, ako gihapon iya papilion kung unsa ako kwaon ika college... that's why nag engineer jud ko.... i even told my superiors sa seminary nga mag engineer jud ko bisan gusto sila mopadayon ko sa seminary.....

so colege comes....

then now... i'm proud to say that i'm a certified ECE....

hahaha.....

To All nga mag decide pa sa ila kwaon ika college....
well, you could consider your parent's choice pero at the end kamo gihapon ang naay last say about ana...
It's you future not them... you'll more productive if you love and happy sa imo gibuhat....

if nag work ka sa profession nga imo parents nag pili niya dili ka ganahan, everything will just be an everyday routine...
feel nimo nga way challenge imo gipangbuhat...

pero if gusto nimo imong profession, bisag balikbalik ang imong gipangbuhat, ok ra. dayon makahunahuna dayon ka to discover more about what you are doing...

hmnn elementary i wanted to be a nurse..pagka highschool... nahan lang ko mag programmer..

so far wala ko gibut an sa akong course..pero mesuggest akong brother mo take up ko engineering....

scholarship offers mao ang gihatag nga course BS CS.. gusto sad ko mag shift before murag ggnahan nman sad ko due to friendly environment sa department..mao na hangtod na void nlang akong scholarship... BS CS (com sci) lang ghapon ko..

my choice! well nag decide sad ko ato kay pag summer na for first sem hehhee... gusto ta ko tourism (walay mo palag hehhe.. sayang man gud ako height and pagka slim... bleh! hehehe) pro when i was in 4th yr hs na inlove ko sa programming then na confuse ko whether IT ba or COMP ENG.... so mao to pag enrolment pa ko naka decide na IT nalang hehhe

Mechanical Engineering. This is really my choice coz this is where my heart is and my parents supported me all the way till I took and passed the board exams. I acknowledge my dad's sacrificial act by going to the states and worked nga mag abot ang singot ug luha ug kinayod day and night just to pay all our bills and tuition as well. I also thank my mom for the spriritual, emotional guidance and the trust she gave to me and my siblings.
Soon, maybe next month, I will be taking another couse, I want to teach coz I do believe that teaching is to learn twice and knowledge is power as the late Ernie Baron says.

My message is... don't forget to acknowledge your parents' sacfrice for your education and for your human formation. They usually know what is good for you....
