Your College Course: Personal or Parents' Choice?

What is your course in college?is it your personal choice? What do you think is the best course to take nowadays aside from nursing.Is it ok for parents to decide what course to take for their children?

* Psychology, though that is not the course that I qualified for. Di man ko gusto sa Diliman ko mag college kay di ko mabuhi Manila. So Cebu na lang. It was my sister who suggested that I take the course.

mao ni ang pinaka lagot kaau nako nga issue.. ngano ni graduate kog Major in Management (BSC) nga dili gani ko ganahan ug mga numero ug kanang pag dala ug usa ka negosyo! kai nindot kaau ilang CHEERING SQUAD!

adtong 16 years old pako, gusto just ko mag journalist... pero walay iskwelahan nga para ni ana gyud diri sa sugbo! dili pod nako gusto mo langyaw didto sa manila... nya gi discourage ko kai dili dakong sweldo inig kahuman...

ako gud gi ingon ako mama, "ngano gi pa eskwela man jud ko ninyo oi nga wa pako maka desider kung mag unsa jud ko..." bisan gi tagaan nalang unta ko nila ug 4 years "to search myself.."

nya tan-awa karon, GUSTO KO MAG DOKTOR! ug wala naman tingale panahon... gi taya na pod ako utok...
ug gusto pod ko mag luto2x... UNSAON NALANG..

karon makontento nalang ko nga mahimong usa ka HOUSEWIFE.. kung naay makigminyo nako. hahahaha kay feel nako wala jud koy FIELD OF EXPERTISE.

Civil Engineering... My choice My Music... aw mali .. sa MYX diay na... hehehe

4th year high school nako na discover na gus2 ko mag Civil Eng kay cge man ko ka exemted sa exam sa physics and math...

i fought for mine gyud.....my mom wants me to take nursing or physical therapy but my heart just wasn't on it, so i told them what i want and they refused to pay for my tuition. so i went to work ang go to school at the same time, my cousin who had a job was also helping me out for a year......pag graduate nako relieve kau ko, sad to say wa gyud ako mama ni attend sa akong graduation. oh well, it's her loss.

@mymaria, naa man schools nag offer journalism sa cebu, mass communications is what it is. USJ-R, STC and UP
were offering it during my time.....but i guess it don't matter since your parents got what they want....

hehehe i didn't like the schools, i know the offered that but lahi ra jud kung JOURNALISM jud na course kai ang MassCom murag generalized ra kaau siya... nya ma assistant raka sa mga tv stations/radio... yeah, so anyways, i can still be a writer without a formal schooling... if I just put my heart to it.



I'm happy you got what u want lindsay... kai mao ra jud nay usa ka butang nga no one can take away from us -- education.
