my humble opinion.. each is great in its own rite. I had experiences in a variety of arts including Yaw Yan when it was still in the famed Yaw Yan Temple in Junquera ( across Cosmo). And i have personally witnessed also how Muay Thai fighters train in Philsports. They are all excellent arts. Each have their own unique sense of rhythm, distance and psyche. Each also are excellent in the conditioning aspect. Eventually, it will all fall down to who trains better and who trains harder and not on which martial art is superior. A few years back, a popular Cebu Yawyan fighter faught in the URCC against a Sanda player. Sanda is the sparring aspect of Wushu ( a martial art which we think is only good for movies). But then he miscalculated Sanda as it was not yet that popular here in Cebu. The result? the Yawyan guy's ass got whipped. Was Wushu Sanda better than Yawyan then? NO. Either guy has an equal chance of winning. But then the only fault with the Yawyan guy is that he underestimated Sanda. Lessons? all martial arts have something great to offer. ALL WEVE GOT TO DO IS GO BACK TO THE GYM AND TRAIN, NO MATTER WHAT OUR MARTIAL ART STYLE AND SYSTEM IS. IF WE REALLY LOVE MARTIAL ARTS, ALL IT TAKES IS ONE REASON TO TRAIN.
