seagate green drives are 5.4k rpm drives, but western digital green drives are not pegged at 5.4k rpm, they can go up to 7.2k as per demand. unless you are constantly copying to and from the drive, you really don't need that fast a drive. HD video at 20Mbit/s (or 2.5MiB/s) is way below the speed of the slowest green drive, and playing music files barely accesses the drive every second (the whole music file can be fully loaded to memory at the start as with Winamp).
