can I overclock i5 2500 locked multiplier?
pwede man guro by changing the bclk
pwde na bai...murag naa man gamay allowance para ma OC cya....but unlike sa K series na OC until ur pc shuts down..lol..ahahahaha
based on the Intel datasheet for its Core i5 Sandybridge:
you can overclock the i5-2500 at four cores active 3.8GHz and up to 4.1Ghz with only one core active on a P67 chipset that is...the i5-2500K you can overclocked up to 57k...
if you're very lucky guy and you get an i5-2500 w/ a bclk that can go as high as 110 w/out messing things up then 4.5GHz would be very cool even at stock![]()

mao ni ang naka bati pag implement sa BCLK. Shared man gud ang clock generator sa uban functions (i.e pcie, ram, pch).
set ur BCLK=103~105, so ( 105x38 ) = 3.990GHz
so I can tweak the BCLK but not the multiplier.
as long as I can tweak the BCLK and cpu voltage then I can overclock.
Yes you can tweak the base lock, upto 7Mhz more of the board+chip is really THAT good. Thats why ppl spend the extra 400-500 bucks to get the K version instead.
