Who is the real GOD?

The God in the Bible is a jealous God. You don't worship him and he kills people. He wants to make known to man he's the real God, and yet to this day he hasn't shown himself to the world. If he was real, you would think making himself present would be the first thing he'd do.

And you're telling me the Judeo-Christian God is the REAL God?

Jealous not in the human sense of the word. Yes he does punish but after hundreds of warnings. Yes he does punish bec. in His perfect awesomeness, He is perfect Love and perfect Justice. Even at that time when He manifested as a human being and walked and breathed on this earth, lots still didn't believe Him. Why should they do now?

This, I think, is the more acceptable definition of "God". Although I still refuse to define anything unexplainable as "GOD".

To those who believe in the Judeo-Christian God:

Did it occur to you that the reason you believe in this God is because of your religion, which base their doctrine to what's written in the Bible---which was written by ancient peoples who were incapable of scientific reasoning due to their cave-man like existence; ancients who had no other way of making sense of things, that they had to invent "GOD" to explain it? Did you ever ask yourselves what if they just made it all up?

Either way, what's the purpose of this entire thread? You wish to know who the real God is so you can praise Him more or you just wish to compel others to believe as you believe. (which I think right now is still shady). Faith isn't opposed to reason just as science isn't opposed to God. The entire doctrine on religions is backed up by centuries of tradition, Church teaching and supernatural occurences that can never be explained by man's flawed nature.

I beg to disagree. It's beyond logical the way everything is in order it's impossible no intelligent being stood behind its creation and sustenance and we're still missing the most pressing question which is, Who or What started all THE acTion?

I beg to disagree too. The thought that the universe always existed is "beyond logical" and having an intelligent designer is "logical"?
The thought of having an intelligent designer is not proven. Having this UNIVERSE is a fact. what makes more logical here?

It is more logical to park our thought and belief to the REAL thing that we have which is the real universe that we are dwelling in than a made-up, invented and imaginary world. Looking up beyond this will lead us to Ad Infinitum.
