You cannot see Santa Claus, unicorns, Zeus, and the spaghetti monster, and yet you do not believe that these people/things exist. What makes you think your God does? Because a book has been written about him? Your logic is flawed.

I really am amazed with this topic. Call me whatever you want to call me, but answer my question. Otherwise you might appear worse than whatever name you tag on me.
If your god knows what Satan is capable of, why won't he stop him? [or why create him in the first place]
What do you call a being who gives you freedom (daw) and yet punish you when you do not follow him? [Wait, did you say freedom]
If your god indeed created everything, then what is the reason why he does something that isn't beneficial, rather destructive? [unsa ni, suicide?]
And the most stupid question: On what day did god create Satan?
Who follows the principle to see is to believe?
AFAIK, the critical thinkers (whatever you wish to call them) follows the empirical way of proving/disproving, or in that case believing in something. Air? Yes, you can't see it. But can't you see where it is leading to? Don't we have instrument to 'observe' it? Brain? Ever heard of MRI/CT Scan? Or have you seen a gross accident where brains are splattering around?
Oh, and by the way, that argument (as what pinoy_09 already pointed out) has been countered a number of times already since time immemorial. So I am not trying to start a fight here (please let us make this 'discussion' as healthy and fair as possible) but I am just urging you to think more critically. In short, grow up!
To those who believe in the Judeo-Christian God:
Did it occur to you that the reason you believe in this God is because of your religion, which base their doctrine to what's written in the Bible---which was written by ancient peoples who were incapable of scientific reasoning due to their cave-man like existence; ancients who had no other way of making sense of things, that they had to invent "GOD" to explain it? Did you ever ask yourselves what if they just made it all up?
Just a thought.![]()
There is some outer force that we cannot comprehend. It is a force that manages all that is about us and beyond. People complicate things due to hidden intentions. People are inquisitive by nature that's why there is this never ending dilemma whether God exists or not. We all have different ways of interpreting things. I myself am a Christian. I follow the traits of Jesus Christ since I consider him an honorable person, this however, does not mean that I will blindly follow ALL practices laid down by the Catholic, Protestant or Christian faith as there are millions that claim that theirs are the best practices. Why do I pray? I pray for enlightenment, it is a form of meditation, the science of which I cannot fully explain, but if I may deduce, it is a practice that may help me solve problems by unlocking brain calculations passed on to me from generations, which if traced back, may come from that unfathomable force.
The world is so complex. Just for example, staring into the stars, one would realize that we are but a tiny spec in this universe, if not multi-verse. We will never know at this instance. We can claim that our God is real FOR US, but we cannot subject others to what we believe in. Bottomline is, I am content with my beliefs, the real question is are you content with yours? If one continues to challenge the beliefs of others, that is their way of saying that they are not content with theirs, for the simple fact that they need confirmation from others through victory in a debate of wits. Think about it, stars and words....
Very well said. For me I am contented. It gives me a peace of mind, unlike the others here, who's still can't figure out which path to go, which truth is the real truth... et al. If we only have one life to live, then I'd rather live my life being dumb knowing I'm at peace than living my life being too smart but confused of everything. Sometimes being dumb has a leverage than being too smart..
TS is a clown. doesn't believe in God, yet always asking questions about God. a typical FAKE athiest.. 'nuf said!
unsa man jud?
