Default OFW - need your advice

    Hi fellow istoryans,

I am an ofw and i have this problems with my husband. i badly need your advice.

My husband is currently working in Qatar and me here in Abu dhabi. Before siya nilarga sa Qatar, nagsabot me nga mosunod ko niya ddto sa Qatar after my vacation. but now, 1month palang siya ddto, he keep on complaining with his work, i mean company management.

i told him nga mo-agwanta lang sa kay lisod kaau ang panahon karon nga magdali2x ta ug desisyon. wala pame kabawi sa among nagasto niya during his visit visa here.

    my points are:
    1. if he will come back here in UAE, he will be in visit visa again which is very costly and uncertain if you can find work or not.
    2. iya biyaan ang iyang work sa qatar nga daku ug sweldo, then moanhe siya sa UAE nga walay sweldo
    3. he's planning to come back here in UAE on July, then my vacation is on august. for sure, kung mobakasyon ka, mahurot jud na ang imong kwarta.

now, we are not in good terms. i need your advice.

    what should i do?

Sis, halos parehas mo sitwasyon sa ako igsoon.

Iya wifey gikan sa Dubai, natransfer lang sa Kuwait, nagkaila sila nagminyo.

During the recession time, nehinay ang company sa ako utol.

Since iya wifey established na ang mga paryente sa Dubai.

So, nesuway sila adto didto Dubai, to check better opportunities for my brother.

Pero since, you know nga di hamak mas dako ang dinar kesa dirhams so ingon ako Kuya dili ko pwede diri Dubai.

Ang ending nila balik gehapon diri sila Kuwait until now.

Sis, ako tambag nimo as much as possible mas maayo magkuyog mo sa imo hubby.
You have to make a decision, either go after him in Qatar or bring him back sa U.A.E.

For practical reasons, siguro mas maayo suway ka apply padung Qatar , again mas taas man siguro ang ang Qatari Riyal kaysa Dirhams (pls.correct me if i'm wrong)
I read in the news recently that U.A.E. gov't will cut the cost of expats.

I'm sure you are wise enough to weigh things out.

Try to look the future in a bigger perspective.
You might lose some dirhams but in exchange you save your marriage, your dear hubby.

As the song goes....SAVE THE VERY BEST TO LAST.

    Hi Miramax,

thank you very much sharing your bro's.

That was our plan before, nga mosunod ko niya after sa akong bakasyon this august. kay mas advantage kung moadto ko ug Qatar, since Qatar is about to "BOOM" because sila ang nakadaug sa bidding for FIFA.

    1. Qatari Riyal has higher value than dirhams, yes you are correct.
    2. he earns double than my earnings here in UAE
    3. he can request for an executive villa in his company rather than here in UAE which we rent for bedspace.
    4. he is just an "assistant IT Manager" in his company.

im running out of idea how to make my husband stay in his company. as i mentioned, he keep on complaining how the management run the company. kesyo Local daw ang tag iya sa company. i already told him kung unsaon ang imong assurance nga if mo-transfer siya dnhe sa UAE< malipay na siya sa iyang work?

Haay, i dont know what to do nah.

tell him, its not easy finding work bisag asa paka sa kalibutan.. ang kakugi ug imong pag utong lang aron muasenso mo ang paagi para mabuhi mo..

If he keeps on blaming his work then bisag asa pa cya maka kita ug work..he and he will always find fault on his work.. bisag asa pa tingali cya maabot ug maka trabaho..

Tell him, this is all for your future.. kamong duha.. if d cya mo sacrifice or mo utong sa iyang work.. he can never find another work unya jud.. pagamahayan nya nya ugaling iyang pag cgeg reklamo karon..

Walay maka satisfy sa iyaha, sure ko if mu transfer cya sa imoha diha sa UAE>. madugay mangita napud na cyag sayop sa iyang work..

Tambag nalang nako nimo TS sa.. Ask him unsa man jud iyang purpose pag anha sa Middle East? pagpangitag work?? or to be with you lang... ?

Naa jud diha an grabe pag antos ug determination para mu succeed mo..

If di man gani makahimo imong husband ana.. nah.. bsag asa pa cya lagi mangaply d ghapon mo mulambo..

Sorry to tell you this.. maypa mouli nalang na cya dire sa Pinas, patan.awa cya unsa kalisod ang mga tao dire nanginabuhi para lang sa adlaw2x nga panginahanglon.. Hina-ot makamgo cya nga swerte kau gani cya nakagawas cya ug nakawork cya sa iyang work karon..

Daghan ang naglaway nga maka abroad.. gamay ra ang swertehan nakagawas..

Deadstrings67: thats what im worried of. he's planning to come back here in UAE by July with/or without work. Ramadan will start 1st of August which is not very advisable nga mo visit visa that time.

bsag unsaon nko pagpasabot, bsag unsa nlng jud ang iyang reklamo.

Bowee: that what i told him. nga bsag asa paka sa kalibutan, dili jud ka ma-satisfy sa imong work. if not with salary maybe with other things nga bad things about sa company.

i also told him nga kung gmingaw cya nko, wait lang cya after sa akong bakasyon kay motransfer jud dayon ko ddto sa Qatar. He is capable of giving me husband visa.

We argue for almost 2weeks to the extent nga g-block na nko cya sa akong FB kay i want him to decide for his self.

Ok raman nko nga dili cya katrabaho kay i still can provide good living for our 2kids. but the the oppurtunity that is already in his hand, is sayang kaayo kung imo lang i-let go.

    Take time to listen.
