    hackers still uses open source toolz and do scripting, hackers need this tool to enhance their program, even security processionals uses open source toolz.

    in order us to say that someone is in your network that is not part of your group, please provide us some evidence say a mac address or ip address that is not related to you.

    inorder to give us a little information regarding your problem. i made a simple script for your network.

    First i want you to download nmap >click here< install this in your windows machine.

    copy this in notepad and save this in batch file.

    Code:
    @echo off
    cls
    echo.
    echo ...............................
    echo dammy
    echo ...............................

    :menu
    echo.
    echo 1. Ping Scan Network
    echo 2. show ip configuration
    echo 3. show tasklist
    echo.
    echo or type exit to exit
    echo.

    set /P M=choose number then press Enter =
    if %M%==1 goto Scan network
    if %M%==2 goto Netsh
    if %M%==3 goto tasklist
    if %M%==exit goto Exit

    :Scan Network
    nmap -T Insane -sP 192.168.1.*
    echo.
    goto menu

    :Netsh
    netsh interface ip show config
    goto menu

    :tasklist
    tasklist
    goto menu

    Bro, kung gi-picturan nako, pwede ra man ko mag himo og folder diri sa akong computer unya picturean nako, nya akong dayon i-accuse akong neighbor nga siya nag hack.

    that FOLDER can't be a solid evidence.. not unless, on the day na-hack to, gi-adto nako sa police og gipa-open nako viewable to the public. Where, wala sad ta kahibaw, if naa ba jud ang name kay na-discover ra nako ang folder.

    we need solid proof, like computer logs. or ma-trace ang IP Address or MAC Address. and dili ra kami2x ang nag conduct. It should be with someone from the authority, kung ganahan mi ma-kasuhan iyang silingan.. IMHO..

    1. Papalita nalang sya og NEW HDD barato nalang kaayo na ron Para ma preserve ang evidence HDD (ayaw nalang hilabti).

    2. Use Linux (example ubuntu live cd) para ma open nimo ang drive nya ma back up-an

    3. Gamit og fresh applications (Sometimes we(technician) dont know atong installers mismo infected na sa virus nga naa sa client's PC)

    4. As in fresh install jud tanan and pahimutang jud.

    5. Watch out for social engineering (basin ang bata maoy sugoon pag reset sa button hehe!)
    Thanks sa advice bro.. Ang installer nako nga Jack Sparrow, gigamit nako sa amoa, wala man na-pareho sa akong migo.. asta sa akong sister, wala pud naguba..

    Pero I'll try to use ubuntu with "TRY UBUNTU" option sa CD unya sulod ko sa ilahang network para pwede ra ko mag scan2x sa network unya safe ra akong system.

    Btw, akong gi-remove ang Partition og create og bag.o kay ang 160gb, 50gb ra nakita. ambot gi-unsa to nga nawala ang ~100gb. Di pud kamao akong migo mag remove og Parition. anyways, na-backupan man pud nako ako mga files..

    Hello bro! Thanks for this advice. Windows 7 ang OS niya. I'll try to change the settings sa iyang PC based sa imu suggestion. Aron di na jud ma-hack iyang laptop.

    I hope ma-secure na jud ang Router og ang OS ani nila.. From router level unta, ma-stop na namo iyang pag access..

    Karong saturday evening ko mo-adto sa ilaha.. I'll post then kung unsa ang mga findings, especially, sa suggestion ni sir dammy..

    Thanks all sa mga suggestions.. From Network/Router settings to OS Settings.. if mao gihapon ni nga magboang2x ilang silingan, I'll suggest my sister nga we'll either take legal action and call on baranggay or police to confiscate this person's COMPUTERS or pasagdan nalang and they'll use SWITCH nalang as means of internet sharing sa ilang balay..

    nope.. can't be, kay ni-gawas ang pangalan sa silingan sa C:\USERS sa laptop. although, I can create that folder easily, but a virus can't do that..

    I'm really trying to find what case to file against him. The Congress has not yet passed the Cyber Crime Prevention Act. I remember attending a seminar before on cyber crimes by the PNP, but they were Manila-based. Need to get hard proof pod para mo issue ang judge ug search warrant. Kay if naa na gani, hutdon jud nako tanan ila savings to pay for the damages he caused!

    Initially when I got my wifi router, I saw the wifi activity going crazy maski off ang laptop sa akong sister.. Mo hinay sad akong net.. Eventually I added a WEP password and it solved the issue for like a week or so.. then ni balik nasad.. since then I added Mac address filtering after adto wala na gyud haha!
