In Islam He said in the Qur'an 112:1-4 (Chapter of Purity or TAWHID-the oneness of Allah.)

I hate it when someone quotes from the Bible or Qur'an as if it's like a credible source of information in debates. They're good for learning moral values, but presenting a quote from it in a query like this is like, for me, quoting from a novel.

Looks like you see yourself as the authority of the TRUTH. Why hate it when someone quote from the Bible or from the Qur'an and present it as the authority of truth, then use your mind and not your heart to digest the message. Why go to school and read voluminous books just to get knowledge if you deny someone to present his view from their Holy Books. Nobody is forcing you anyway to believe it. And in our case in Islam it is a FUNDAMENTAL FACT that, "THERE IS NO COMPULSION IN RELIGION" everybody has the right to believe or not to believe. And in Islam debate is not encourage our duty as a Muslim is just to deliver and convey the message.

No, don't hate when somebody qoutes these books. They are still a good source of ancient information though the idea of a GOD is clearly mis-translated to tailor it to a monotheistic belief. The thread title is, Who is the real GOD? How can one recognize a real GOD when even the first book, Genesis or Bereshit in the Tanakh (original hebrew bible) mentions not a God (eloah- monotheistic) but gods (elohim).
Obviously, the Bible is a library of books. Some of these books are inspired from more older sources (Sumerian) which most of the people until now may not be aware of.

You say there is no compulsion in religion, but the tone of the above post seems to say otherwise. I was merely voicing out my own beliefs. If you are not pleased then I am sorry for you. I am just sick and tired of hearing excerpts from the Bible over and over again in debates about religion. But in a topic where morals, virtues, values and parables are discussed, I embrace those verses because I think they're beautiful. Beautiful, but not necessarily true. Just like a work of fiction. This separates the Bible from the "voluminous books I get knowledge from".

So please leave my beliefs alone if you can't do anything else but criticize them.

If you criticize Bible as fallacy then give reasons to your claim dont just rant.

Have you even read what I just said? Fallacy is a wrong term for it to begin with. I have given you my reasons for not believing everything in the Bible, now you give me yours. Better yet, PROVE to me RIGHT HERE AND RIGHT NOW that the Bible is not a fallacy and is as true as how you proclaim it is.

I agree with this 100%. Kalagot huna-hunaon nga nindot na kaayo ang debate nya kalitan lang ta'g hatag ug Bible verse---as if that gives a credible explanation to anything.
