A broadcaster went on air at a Manila radio station on Thursday to deny claims he was shot dead inside his announcer's booth in Cebu.
Bobby Nalzaro said the Cebu police rushed to radio station dySS after receiving a phoned-in tip that armed men shot him inside the announcer's booth.
"There's no chance ma-trace kung sino ang lukulukong tumawag na yan na dinala ang pangalan ko," he said in an interview on dzBB radio, dySS' sister station.
Citing initial information reaching him, he identified the supposed caller as one Ricky Galon.
He said Galon called the Cebu police to say Nalzaro was shot in the announcer's booth at dySS.
The police then sent teams to the radio station to verify the information.
