My misconception about Cebu City....

mao na diha kusug kaayo pakita they have it---expensive phones, gadgets, jewelries etc.
kung ma holdup hilak maayo

if ako muadto ug lain lugar or a place I find myself as a stranger...I try to blend in as much
as possible--no flash clothes, items or anything mag paila nga your a tourist or a magnet to thieves and thugs

Learn to apppreciate and enjoy on what's good about CEBU
yet be cautious and be alert because security and safety is not one of Cebu's best asset

Ka nindot aning Cebu... sure naay petty crimes pero unlike sa Luzon area nga ang mga crimes kay with murderous intent...

as if sure kaayo sila nga ang ilang nakita mao na gyud na or they saw one they thought they've seen it all
and usually baya atong mentality kato ra gyud ang bati ang makita pirmi
...or it's easier to give out criticisms than compliment.

So my question is:
1. Asa man ga gikan ng misconception na naa daw daghan mangingilad sa cebu?

Sa akong nahibaw-an, ang misconception generated from victims in MANILA ug mga KAWATAN or MANGINGILAD na BISAYA! Bisaya does not generally mean, CEBUANO or TAGA CEBU or FROM CEBU gyud but any person na BISAYA gyud na dak-an niya ug speak. Ngano sad na ingun ani kay the usual notion man gud of people from the PROVINCE is they want to go to the CITY to find GREENER PASTURES! If they can't find it in CEBU, they go to the CAPITAL CITY MANILA to find that. Now, not only are the people from the PROVINCES who look for greener pastures but asta man mga kawatan mangita sad ug mas DAKO na ka kitaan so I guess mao na! Cguro, known na sila here in CEBU so they go elsewhere to do that and at thesame time spread the notion na mga taga CEBU are like that which is entirely not the case. Just because you speak BISAYA does not entirely mean taga CEBU gyud ka kay daghan baya other provinces who speak bisaya ha! eheh Just my thoughts really!



2. Sa mga dili taga cebu, do you have other misconception or misinformation about Cebu?

Taga CEBU man gyud ko coz I was born here and still living here so wala kaayo! As for the KAWATAN's out there who have tried to victimize me for so many times, I also can't say CEBUANO gyud to sila or what! Can't really judge for I don't really know them. Ang ako ra masulti, bad sila kay bad ilang gebuhat!
