^yup, nka-attend na pd ko wedding sa ako friend dd2 beverly view iya reception. nice mn pd ang beverly view. overlooking jd sya. nya barato ra pd. the food was okay kay 'the port' mn sa waterfront ang ng-cater. pro based sa kana deco ug mga lighting, nahan ko sa chateau. magical au ang theme sa chateau. mura ka naa enchanted forest. hehe...

This new thread is just to start the new year and to look back the YEAR that WAS. Most of the wedding venue topics kay before 2010 pa nag begin sa discussion and lengthy napud ang discussions...so why not we open up a new thread para updated ta sa mga wedding venues last year and to help other fellow istoryans...

Below are messages from our fellow istoryans and for privacy's sake dili lang nako e mention ila names.

Just hire a caterer
Amara has a wide space man the highlight is probably the Light house

nice ambiance, not too far, nice staff

twas nice especially at night. klaro kaau ang city lights..
THE PORT ang mu provide sa food. lameh sad..

CASINO ESPANOL
Food's really great and nindot sad kaayo ang place
Affordable, wide selection of good food, excellent service
had mine in casino espanyol... fairly affordable
it's classy/formal, buffet style medyo expensive

Castle Peak
castle peak hotel nindot pod sila og package nice ila invitation, place, food

Cebu Grand Convention Center in Lahug
place very spacious
very good and very affordable
affordable ang grand convention

mas lami ang Grand Convention and mas practical for wedding occasion

Chateau de Busay
visit website sa chateau de busay kung ganahan ka garden wedding nga medyo dili mahal
too common na for garden wedding receptions

City Sports Club
city sports club..food tasting was nice until the actual day came..the food was sooo blah
city sports kay barato man ang food
formal, kulang sa waiter, shortage permi sa food para mo additional order na pod ka.

Cordova Reef
Very private, walay samok

Crown Regency
Crown Regency as in poor kaau ug service
in fairness lami elang food then there were a lot of choices and libre pod ride

Crown Garden Hotel
sa crowne garden hotel kay nice ilang package then affordable ra kaayo..ü

Diplomat Hotel
try DIPLOMAT HOTEL- i guess their cheapest package if im not mistaken kay 56k t0 59k..

Fort San Pedro
Nice if ang weather mo cooperate
8K daw rent
venue ra ang imong bayran sis, imo ang catering

Golden Prince Hotel
hotel package 80k tingali,ilaha na tanan way labot sanina
Service-wise and budget wise... we had no regrets

formal, buffet style, affordable kaau ang wedding package.

Laguna Garden Cafe
The ambiance is great and the food, superb! Their service, top-rate!

is only nice and good in pictures in terms of the garden venue

sa venue lang ig ganahan mog affordable ra sa sugbutel kay tag 1,500 per hour
dako ni elang dance floor...
ang disadvantage sa sugbutel ky bati elang sound system

Vistamar - at the Board walk. very romantic ambiance

Waterfront
WATERFRONT is good in terms of food
very spacious, classy ambiance

Personal choice would be Casino Espanol. they have palatable food and great elegant view.

had the 385/pax... 4 main courses,1 dessert and UNLIMITED SUPPLY of Ice Tea and/or Pepsi Product...what is good sa don merto's is that WALA clay corkage in anything u bring in...ky sa katong akng event...we had cocktail party before sa dinner...ang sa cocktail is amoa tanan ang fud...cla pay nag timpla sa drinks/punch namo...akong reservation was 70 pax...murag mao na xay pinaka max sa ilang capacity...d ka magmahay sa food...lami jd...ang chef namo kay owner rapud sa don merto's....as for the piano...im not sure kng naa ba cla...murag decoration raman tong naa adto...if you will inquire dir...look for Dave....accommodating kaau na xa.

I've toured around 3 venue sites last saturday and here's my feedback:

Parklane: The place is so-so, the grand ballroom doesn't really look grand. But kudos to the sales staff, very accommodating.

Casino Español: The grand ballroom is huge, and the place is elegant. Price wise, it's cheap and the food's great. Almost all our family major affairs are held there, so it's really a great place for the venue. Just take note that you CAN'T drop anything from their package, you have to stick with it. Packages starts at 100-160k good for 100 perons.

Radisson Blu: All I can is WOW!! The ballroom is really huge and the ceiling is very high. You don't need drapery 'coz aside that they don't allow it, you don't really need it. Superb elegance! The rooms, I was in awe. esp. w/ their executive suites. and for only 170k/100 persons, it's really a great catch! ^__^
