Default ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-Z Motherboard

    ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-Z Motherboard

ASUS is going to launch a new motherboard, Maximus IV Extreme-Z which is based on the Z68 chipset unlike its cousin, the Maximus IV Extreme which is based on the P67 chipset.

The Maximus IV Extreme-Z however looks very similar to the non Z edition. Having a nForce 200 bridge chip, the Extreme-Z allows connectivity of up to four graphics card and supports both NVIDIA SLI and ATI CrossFireX. It has four SATA 3Gbps and four SATA 6Gbps ports which would please most users. The ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-Z is expected to cost abit more than the Maximus IV Extreme.

The board features SLI/CrossFire on Demand technology, supporting up to four graphics cards in a 3-Way SLI or CrossFireX configuration. Whichever path you take, you can be assured of jaw-dropping graphics at a level previously unseen.
