How come a painting hundreds of years old depict of Christ and God the father holding to what seems to be earth..how come earth was depicted round when in fact earth was thought of as flat until magellan's exploration..
Some even say that what they are holding is a resemblance of the first satellite "sputnik".. but sputnik was lauched in late 1950?

Who painted that? Since it uses color (oil?) then I would guess this was painted during Magellan's time or maybe a little later.

Also, we have to take into consideration that there were early scientists (i.e., educated people) who know the world was round. Pythagoras was one and he lived around 500 BC.

CRYSTAL SKULLS
These skulls, found near the ancient ruins of Mayan and Aztec civilizations (with some evidence linking the skulls with past civilization in Peru) are a mystery as profound as the Pyramids of Egypt, the Nazca Lines of Peru, or Stonehenge. Some of the skulls are believed to be between 5,000 and 36,000 years old.

Many indigenous people speak of their remarkable magical and healing properties, but nobody really knows where they came from or what they were used for.

Were they left behind after the destruction of a previous world, such as Atlantis? Are they simply ingenious modern fakes or can they really enable us to see deeply into the past and predict the future?

Much research is currently being done on the skulls. However, their origin is still a baffling mystery. They seem to defy logic. Everything that is known about lapidary work indicates that the skulls should have been shattered fractured, or fallen apart when carved.

The age of quartz crystals cannot be determined by carbon dating, therefore, it is very difficult - if not impossible - to determine the actual age of a crystal skull. The primary means that modern science has for estimating the age of crystal skulls is to examine them under an electron scanning microscope to determine what kind of tools were used to carve them based on the tool marks embedded in the surface of the crystal. Old crystal skulls are characterized by the use of primitive techniques, which leave irregular groove cuts on the silicone cast.

MITCHELL HEDGES CRYSTAL SKULL, the most famous crystal skull in the world today, named after a real-life "Indiana Jones" of the 20th Century, British explorer and adventurer F. A. Mitchell-Hedges. The most distinguishable characteristic of this crystal skull is its extraordinary clarity and its detachable jaw, carved from the same piece of quartz as the rest of the skull. This crystal skull was originally called the "Skull of Dunn" after an associate on one of the expeditions to Lubaantun (Belize). This is where Anna Mitchell-Hedges, at the age of 16*, claims to have found the crystal skull in the ruins of a Mayan pyramid. It was later called the "Skull of Doom" to supposedly ward off possible mal- intentioned encounters. The Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull has recently been renamed by the present caretaker, Bill Homann, as the "Skull of Love".


The crystal skull Sha Na Ra, named in memory of a Shaman Healer, is made of clear quartz. It has the unusual distinction of having been discovered in an actual archeological dig in Mexico - therefore providing further credibility to its status as a true ancient crystal skull. What is also unusual about the crystal skull ShaNaRa resurfacing is the way that it was found. It was located through a method called "psychic archeology", which means that the location of the find was pinpointed by intuitive guidance.


The crystal skull Ami is made of very dark purple amethyst. Its unusual characteristics include holes where the jaw meets the upper face, and circular indentations around the ears/temples. Renowned Crystal Skull Researcher F.R. 'Nick' Nocerino had the opportunity to briefly study this Amethyst Crystal Skull. Ami is one of the few that is classified and accepted as an ancient crystal skull. It is reputed to have sat on the desk of the former Mexican President, Porfirio Diaz, who for 35 years was the absolute ruler of Mexico (from 1876-80 and from 1884-1911). The fact that President José de la Cruz Porfirio Díaz (always called Porfirio Díaz), was of Mixtec (a Mesoamerican tribe) ancestry yields possible credibility to this claim.


Max is an authentic ancient crystal skull; a wonder of the world estimated to be thousands of years old and considered by many, to be one of the rarest artifacts ever found on this planet. Max was discovered in Guatemala and was used by Mayan priests for healing, rituals, and prayers. Max the crystal skull is known nationally and internationally. He has been presented in several documentaries world wide. In 1996, Max was researched by the British Museum. The Mayan Crystal Skull is closely related to "Ami", the Amethyst Crystal Skull. They are similar in physical size as well as some of their attributes, except that the Mayan Crystal Skull is made of clear quartz. The Mayans are at the center of crystal skulls - in fact the majority of ancient crystal skulls could be traced back to Mayan origin. There is, however, one particular crystal skull that is known as the "Mayan Skull". This skull is so mysterious that the stories about it vary. One source claims the Mayan crystal skull was allegedly discovered in San Augustine, Guatemala in 1912, while another says that it was found at the Mayan site of Copan in Honduras around 1910.


Amar is a rare crystal skull from Tibet. Said to have ancient origins, Amar is one the largest known old crystal skulls, at 22 lbs, and is made of Clear Quartz (with a slight Smoky tint). Amar embodies the energies of love and compassion, just as the Dalai Lama does.

Unbelievable But True Story: Snakes with Snake Bodies But Human Heads | Scienceray

Half snake half human? This sounds like a legendary story. Did they exist? Yes, they did. They are the most incredible snakes ever found and reported and their existence is unbelievable and still remains a mystery in our modernized world.

This snake has a human-like head with a snake body. It’s called “siluman ular” but some of the Indonesians called it “nyai borong”, a name given to “a queen” from a snake species. The locals called it “Jenglot”. It was allegedly said that this incredible snake moved like a snake while making human sound. This sounds scary and sends chill down my spine.

When too many people looked at Jenglot, she’ll burry her head inside the curl. Her keeper, an old man who first found it near the river beside his house in Tulungagung District, western part of Java, Indonesia said that he found this unusual snake by the dream. The snake also pleaded with him in the dream to treat her well. Jenglot would prefer to get the nutrients of the blood with its own way. It neither moved nor touched on the fresh animal blood (e.g. goat) her keeper used to feed her.

When found, Jenglot’s body was measured around 90 centimetres from her body to her tail. It was recognized as a female snake by its long blonde hair and a woman-like appearance. Interestingly, it was also found that it has two white eyebrows lengthwise, along with her attractive staring eyes on her head.

As Jenglot’s appearance is similar to that mermaid, it has described as a creepy, living mummy measuring 15-20centimetres in length, together with her long nails and staring eyes. To some people, they believe that Jenglot is a type of mummy, dating back 300 years old.

In conjunction to Jenglot’s discovery, one strange creature with a python body of a snake and a human head was found in a small town in Pahang, Malaysia. It has a mouth, a pair of eyes and a long hair just like a human, but its appearance looks like a wrinkled old person, or more exactly it appears to be a snake monster. While examining closely, it was observed that it has a pair of skinny legs just beneath its head, but the most notable feature is its white hoary beard.

It was reported to be captured by Malaysian aborigines (or Orang Asli). They said they found two beasts, female and male, but they could only manage to capture the female one. Rumour had spread that this snake even begged them to release her to the mountainous area, and some people said that the snake was attempting to summon the male snake monster to come to rescue her.
