ma'am, in our government, for a law to have teeth it needs a budget. otherwise, like all of our other brilliant laws (like solid waste management) char char lang.

Usa bitaw ni purpose sa RH, i expand ang program sa family planning then mandatory ni sa government nga i provide ni nga serbisyo, of course with budget. Its a fact nga dili tanan barangay naka avail ani.

Bill seeking 100 percent health coverage being fast-tracked in House
    By CHARISSA M. LUCI
    May 18, 2011, 4:44pm
MANILA, Philippines — The House Committee on Health is hastening the consolidation of 44 bills that seek to amend the National Health Insurance Act of 1995 in a move to ensure the 100-percent health insurance coverage of the populace in the next two years.

Bacolod Rep. Anthony Golez, the committee’s vice chairman and the head of the House body’s technical working group, vowed to come up with a consolidated bill proposing amendments to the PhilHealth law before Congress goes into recess on June 9.

“If passed, the expanded PhilHealth law may be one of the milestones of P-Noy’s second State of the Nation Address this July,” he said.

“All Filipinos are automatic members of Philhealth and so whether rich or poor, we are entitled or guaranteed a socialized health insurance,” he said.

Golez cited that the amended PhilHealth Law will be renamed as “Pinoy Health Insurance Law,” which according to him, seeks to address maternal and child health care issues.

Lawmakers are pushing for the inclusion of 14 million children and poor parents aged 50 to 59 years old as legal PhilHealth beneficiaries of their single working children under House Bills 655 and 2711.

sis, have you observed how our LGU (local govt. unit) works? with a mandated budget for reproductive health, mas accountable sila. as for now, ang katong makakuha lang from DOH kato rang mga LGU na makacomply sa requirements sa DOH. with the RHB, nanay budget.

Para nako mura na ug school rules ang dating kung naay parent's consent clause. But im actually asking you what do you suggest?

And to answer your question nga kung naa bay parents na ok ang PMS? then answer is a big YES. The number may be negligible but the answer is YES. Labi na ang amahan nga bugoy2x.

the gun analogy of gemwarrior was actually on the right track. Mas brutal lang nuon ang subject na iyang gigamit which is a gun rather than a latex.
kinsa lagi musugot ana lagi tagaan ang ilang anak ug contraceptives? kung mangayo ang usa ka teen ug condom, padung gyud na *** di ba? that clause you saying is useless.

depende pud guro na kung girl or boy lagi ang anak, lisod man guro mo yes ka kung girl imong anak. tinuod naa gyud parents way pakiaalam but i think daghan gyud ang responsible parents. The present society is not open to that, believe me. the time will come when PMS becoming much more rampant then parents may agree RH rights to teen, that time will come if RH bill is enacted as law. This is what happening in th US decades of sexual revolution, much open na sila to PMS.

that gun analogy doesnt fit in RHB. i repeat that.

RH bill di population control: PLCPD | Sun.Star

If its not written how will be implemented? go with the flow na lang? spending billions on a questionable results lol.

You cant stop families from aiming 3 or more children and that wont help curb the population. the ideal family size should be 2 children, you know that and its clear on the bill. Why would you react if we go for "2 child policy" ? when you voice out concerns of overpopulation if the target is 2 child and we are not getting 2, thats stupidity. thats why they rule out population control measure of the bill.

The bottom line is RHB wont curb our population, pro life families (with 3 or more children) will continue to add to our population. Like i said its not all about getting free contraceptives but also it also their will to have many children. Take a look we had many pro poor projects making it easy to raise children than the middle and upper class.
The bill will curb population growth rate.... Not population growth. The bill does not have to say it specifically for us to realize what the effects of a more educated population with access to reproductive health services will bring.

local man na. but, like family planning, your choice

btw, how'd you know that they are just all talk? maybe they support the bill because they work closely with the marginalized sectors in our society and they know how important information dissemination regarding family planning is?
