Bai, go for the Pentium D 805. Layo ra kaayo ang AMD 3200+ venice ana. Some guys will tell you that init kuno and mas maayo kuno ang AMD sa games, but check this out:

The days of AMD speed king are over. The pentium D although not the best dual proc, the bang for the price especially sa 805 dili ma match by any AMD processor. Don't get me wrong, my last 3 rigs including my present 3200 venice have been AMD and heat is not an issue sa 805 at standard speeds nga wala gi overclock. At least not any different from kad2ng karaan nga AMD. And in most apps, audio, video encoding, multitasking, 3D rendering, the 805 will smoke even the Athlon FX55 or athlon 3800+. Sa "frames per second" sa games ra jud maka daog ang athlon.

At 15T for mobo/proc/1gb ram payter na kaayo na.

And if you consider upgradeability, mobos for the 805 are compatible with the fastest processor available, the intel 2 core duo processor called conroe which will smoke anything AMD period.

I agree with joel oporto. Intel 805 is more faster in all applications. Ive tried it and can be overclock at 4gigs. So at 2.66 even it is noisy and init, it is the most stable processor. Bsag init na cia bai or noisy, natural rana nia bai. And of course its a dual core. In choosing both, i go for the dual core. :mrgreen:

kung mag PD805 ko bro kutob ra ankong budget sa onboard na intel na video. pro kung mag AMD ko ok na iya on board video. then na ka try ko og gamit og 805 sa amu office mas pas2x pa man ang mga AMD 3000+ 939 did2 sa office. then pirti jung sabaa. murag CDrom na guba.hahaha ma feel sad jud nako ang init gikan sa casing mura og oven toaster.HAHAHA ide go for AMD nlg

way ayo na inyong pd805 sa offis. Dili ra man sab limited to intel ang vidcard, kadaghan diha nga socket lga 775 nga mobo.

If di ka ganahan sa orig, as far as noise and heat is concerned, its nothing a good aftermarket proc fan can solve. If you really want the 3200+, then palit na lang ug second-hand kay everybody else will be replacing them with the next few month.
