    You mean like this:

I don't see why this shouldn't work. It may take some fiddling around with the settings tho. I tried it on mine but didn't have the patience to resolve the wireless part of the equation. Once you get the Wi-Fi configured, it needs to be configured as an ad hoc; the wi-fi enabled computer in your house needs to be configured as ad hoc as well (no AP). The simplest solution, as mentioned in a previous post, is get yourself a wireless router for your office, a wi-fi NIC or USB adapter for your home computer or computers and that should do it.

What about doing it in "Wired" a pcs of RJ45 ang couple meter of Cat-5 , rather than buying an adapter wireless (usb/ PCI).Just suggesting a cheaper way.
WIFI only applicable for open space sometimes frequent reason for connection failure.

yup sakto c BayouPinoy.. muwork na cya.. tried it once before with my friends. 2 comps. are connected by wifi and the rest is connected by ethernet. no need for an access point just connect ad hoc. theyll be in different workgroups though.. 1 for wifi and 1 for ether, pero makita nimo ang lain comps. sa netework.

Very good point about the distance. If the distance from the balay to the office is more than 100 feet, you might get into problems with the Wi-Fi signal using stock antennas. If you are serious about this Wi-Fi business, you might want to look at directional antennas to increase signal strength (or look at those coffee can antennas that people are using for really cheap "solutions."). There are also wireless vendors that sell equipment rated for outdoor, building to building applications.

And yes, there are outdoor rated Cat 5 UTP cables with max run of 90m (295 feet) according to some standard specifications. You can either bury the cable or it can double as a hay-hayan (aerial placement), all of which are subject to interference. I have not personally used this, but it also appears you have to use Cat 5 protectors to protect equipment from incoming electrical discharge (kilat, for example).
