Headlight flash - meaning briefly switching on the headlights of a car, or of momentarily switching between a headlight's high beams and low beams.

sa intersection.. mostly kana mo blink2x imbis na kaw paunahon meaning sila mo una.... like diha sa SRP.. para pud maka hibaw to mo labang na naay approaching vehicle.... maurag mao rapud na ako nabantayan dinhi sa cebu.. hehehe..

you have a very good point TS. unsa jud btaw pasabot sa nag initiate ug headlight flash, pasabot basa nag flash "go ahead" sa kasugat sa intersection? or ang nagslash mo go ahead? nabantayan nako kay ang nag flash mao jud mouna.
since motorcycle ra akoa, i always make it point to yield to other vehicles before entering an intersection (specially larger vehicles), nag flash man sila or wala.

kasagaran kanang mo flash ky tagai sila way or sila una..

pero kung gabie, duha ka klase pasabot ana...
1. give way or sila mouna ang nagflash...
2. lower your beam ky naka hi beam ka.. applicable ni sa buntag pud kung accidentally naka ON imo headlight..

then kung ikaw giflash sa kasugat nmo, mao ni buhaton kasagaran:
- kung sugot ka moovertake siya og mopadaplin ka or mohunong.. turn off ang headlight(parklight ra magsiga) mostly ni sa jeep de pasaheroan..
- kung dli ka mosugot moovertake ka, flash balik or hi beam..

Flashing headlights is common in the Philippines. Specially in intersections were there's no stoplight. We usually use to flash our headlights either to signal the other car that we are letting them pass first or we want to pass first. Either is correct. The misconception of drivers is that flashing headlights means only one thing, when in fact it can mean numerous things. This misconception can lead to accidents and arguments. What does it really mean?

Flashing headlights can broadcast any number of different messages:
1) You go first
2) I'm over here
3) I want to come through first
4) Your lights are too bright
5) Thank you
